This was great. Im going to find a print of the Turkish coffee house in the moonlight. I'm a plant collector and conservationist who recently started growing rare coffee and cacao varieties. You mention being from Guayana. Do you know anyone who would be willing to ship some viable Lyberica or Excelsa coffee seeds in parchment? It grows in west Africa, Malaysia, and Guayana. I've not yet found a source of seed online. 🙏🏼

A transition from drinking alcohol (a depressant) on a daily basis to drinking Coffee (a stimulant) daily, certainly resulted in quite a change in Society.

Andrew Jackson? Do you mean President Andrew Jackson? That was from 1829-1837, years before the civil war began. I'm confused. How did he choose what the Union troops drank? Or was there another Andrew Jackson? Did he make that decision when he was a general in the war of 1812?

Thanks again... sadly I think I have come to the end of your wonderful videos. Your last comment about future forums like coffeehouses made me think now the social media forums on the internet are able to bring about change, propaganda, flash mobs, and now in the US we have seen an attack on our Capitol and attempted coup largely orchestrated online. For the first time has me wishing for spies and controls over speech... to reduce rumors, lying, disinformation and inciting violence at least. Just like some of the monarchs.

Loved the sketch of the first Hudson Bay Company sale at the coffee house! My grandfather had a trapline in Canada and back in the seventies I watched him trap beaver and muskrat and send the pelts and the musk glands off to the Hudson Bay Company!

Sean do you think you will do one about your family as coffee growers for a couple of generations? I wonder why you sound like an American yet are from British Guiana?
