Sanskrit Verse: चिदाकाश में निराकार चित्तता का जो स्वाभाविक स्फुरण् है, वह बाह्यपदार्थदर्शन्, आन्तरिक पदार्थ मनन, देश, काल, क्रिया आदि है॥१२॥ ऽऽ रुपालोकमनस्कारदेशकालक्रियादि तत। चित्त्वं कचति चिद्व्योम्नि यन्नमानाकृति स्वत:॥१२॥ वासिष्ठरामायण निउ०१८७ Hindi Elaboration: चिदाकाश (चेतना का आकाश) में निराकार चित्त की जो स्वाभाविक स्फुरण या आभा है, वह बाहरी पदार्थों का दर्शन, आंतरिक विचार, स्थान, समय और क्रिया से जुड़ा हुआ है। इसका तात्पर्य यह है कि निराकार और शुद्ध चेतना स्वयं प्रकाशमान है, और यह रूप, नाम, आकार के बिना ही इन विभिन्न अनुभवों और स्थितियों का आधार है। जब हम बाहरी या आंतरिक अनुभव करते हैं, तो यह इसी चेतना की अभिव्यक्ति होती है। देश, काल, और क्रिया भी इस चेतना की स्फुरण का परिणाम हैं। English Elaboration: In the infinite expanse of Chidakasha (the space of pure consciousness), there arises a natural effulgence of formless Chittata (awareness or consciousness). This effulgence manifests as the perception of external objects, the contemplation of internal ideas, and the experience of space, time, and action. Despite being formless and without attributes like name and shape, this consciousness inherently illuminates all these aspects of experience. The formless consciousness is the very essence from which the external and internal perceptions, as well as space, time, and actions, derive their existence. This profound idea helps us recognize that the external world and our inner thoughts are merely expressions of this luminous consciousness. The distinctions of time, space, and action are all reflections of this infinite awareness that remains unchanged and formless. Conclusion: The teaching from the Vasistha Ramayana illustrates that consciousness itself is the underlying reality that manifests in various forms and experiences. It is the formless essence that perceives both the external and internal worlds, all while remaining untainted by the qualities it projects. This verse points toward the non-duality of reality-where consciousness is the substratum of all existence, beyond form, name, and attributes.
