Hey! I think it’s just the guitar through a Jackhammer dist sounding on a Fender Champ 12 red knob amp captured with a SM57 and some minor EQ and comp on the DAW. Nothing fancy at all, I’ve played with that same gear practically since age 14!

good work here, but you're consolidating both banfields and ian's parts with what you're playing into one part. part 2 is what ian's playing, but the first part is what banfield is playing. ian's part is that high harmonic sound in the first part, banfield starts the song with the riff. the parts are very similar, but when you put them together you hear a lot of differences. check out this instructional i did today and you'll see what i mean. cheers! ruclips.net/video/yjwqdwIyum0/видео.html

@@todosvuelan6943 one thing we've been looking into in the don cab discord server is that over time, they simplified it live, so honestly i'd say theres no wrong way because of how widely different that song is. if you watch the live vids, theres times where whole passages of the song get wiped out from the guttoral nature of the song. maybe over time, they started to focus on the riff itself instead of seperate parts for the good of the song live. really such a song with serious history of how it changed. i guess i can get a little specific of how they did it on album. but what they said recently for that album was some songs had parts of one take and parts of another take. you got a killer grasp of this material, and i mean that attention to detail, its what made those songs so killer to us, you got some killerchops too!
