Love this one. He’s absolutely right. I have been struggling so much lately with my own health conditions, and it’s been really hard. I feel like I am failing my family. Then I realize I am wallowing in my self pity and I have to get out of that state. I’ve got to give all my problems to Him, and just be obedient to my Father. I almost feel like the more I wallow in it, the worse the physical pain and the emotions of everything feels, if that makes sense? Always praying for you and your family!

I myself have a disability(autism). I too cried out to God why He allowed this. After joining a Bible study, I learned that there is actually a simple answer to this question. Our common ancestors Adam and Eve disobeyed God. In Genesis 3 this fall, and the ramifications are described. God originally intended the Earth to be like a paradise. Humans were not showed to know both good and evil(Genesis 3:5,22). As a punishment of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, God issued pain and suffering. Painful child labour is one consequence mentioned(Genesis 3:16). God said to Adam, “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you,and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return”(Genesis 3:17-19). Pain, suffering, and ultimately, death, are consequences of Adam and Eve sinning. We inherit this sin. God, who is loving and merciful, sent Jesus as a ransom for mankind(1 Timothy 2:3-6). It is through Jesus that all healing will occur. When Jesus comes back to restore and renew mankind( Acts 3:20-21), physical afflictions will disappear( Isaiah 35:5-6). It is so easy to wallow in despair, pity or even stop believing that God exists because of the struggles of disability. But don’t fall into that trap. Take care!
