After enduring prolonged inclement weather, I can now commence training my 2024 roller pigeons. The initial rounds of training were marred by losses to the Cooper's hawk, followed by a hiatus due to snow and cold conditions lasting a couple of weeks. I'm optimistic that my birds can resume their progress from where they left off.

@robsrollers1329 The peri doesn't really show up but when it does, I lose a bird every time. I'm stuck with cooper hawks for the most part.
@SmokesLoft we don't have coopers in the UK but I know you are covered in them throughout the USA Peri's and sparrow hawk mainly hear but our S H is bigger than the ones you have over there and more like your coopers in size

In my country our best performance spinners are much smaller size than these birds..And at the flying championships the old professional men who always win said the secret is the area and shape of the birds tail in relation to its wing area..Fast regular clean deep spinners have smallish low drag tails they would shape with scissors before the contest..The flying performance of their birds defies gravity..beyond Amazing.

I do not have any james turner bird videos but I know they are deep birds. This year I was mainly focused on Rick Mee birds. 🙂

@@ahlerhawj603 honestly, their team work and frequency. They are not too deep but if I can add more depth by next year, I can get a nice team. Only if I can find the right pair lol. Got to keep experimenting 🙂

Thanks Arcee. I bred almost 50 young ones and lost almost all of the first rounds to the hawk. Breeding a couple more to even out the kit birds. 🙂
