    I got a grey wash style forearm half sleeve, I absolutely loved it for the first few months now I absolutely regret it, and am wanting to go down the removal route maybe in 2025, I was going to almost rush into it but I thank goodness for my parents for telling me to wait a bit longer and think that through, we all make mistakes and now I have to live with it but life goes on I can keep it and let it fade and eventually laser it or just get it done next year. But one step at a time is the right approach

    waiting 6 - 12 months between sessions will significantly reduce the amount of sessions and cost to remove your tattoo. the longer you wait, the more time you give your skin to heal and your immune system to flush out the ink particles :)

    I just started getting tattoo removal on my wrists, one session in, and already seeing results. I want to get a big tattoo removed on my thigh through the winter months, probably starting end of August time. I had it added to which was a mistake. Not long after i had it done, I realised my issue is with the original tattoo that my ex designed for me. I just can't look at it, a lesson learned there in trying to add to a tattoo when you should just get it removed. I'm nervous about the thigh and how painful it's going to be. Do you have any tips on how to deal with the initial pain as it's being lasered? 😅

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy Месяц назад

      I had 10% lidocaine cream applied every session on my thigh until there was barely any ink left now I can get sessions without numbing. I also found the thigh to be less painful than other locations just like the tattoo was less painful there! Maybe because it’s more fatty than boney

    THIS. I can’t sleep when I use tretinoin. My skin crawls and feels itchy about 20 minutes after application and if I do fall asleep I have vivid dreams and wake up every 30 minutes. It’s been this way since day 1. My husband tried Tret and had the same experience. The derm said it’s ridiculous and not the Tret. I absolutely disagree. It’s banned in Canada and Europe because of its systemic absorption and it’s linked to birth defects. It’s also linked to poor liver function and autoimmune disease. No one wants to admit it or research it…

      31 is still young! If you eat healthy, exercise, and don't smoke, I would say you are still a candidate. I was in my 20s when I started and I am not 33. I started removal on another tattoo at 31. I've had to stop for now because I am pregnant.

    Do you think the yellow will ever come off completely? Do you still have more sessions left on the thigh tattoo?

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 2 месяца назад

      I think it will eventually. I am pregnant now so probably won't get more sessions for a while. At this point, the tattoo is so light, and the portion that still has yellow is far up on my thigh, it doesn't bother me. I will likely let it fade out on it's own until new technology becomes available.

    Hi Candice, I’ve been using a retinol night cream (0.1%) for two years with no problem. Then in February I increased the dose to 0.3%. In late February, completely without any warning whatsoever, I developed an horrific insomnia where I simply could not fall asleep all night. And the night after that. And then every single night since for almost three months. I’ve never had insomnia in my life beforehand. Needless to say it’s been utter torture and quite possibly the worst experience of my life. I’ve systematically eliminated all the possibilities I could think of and started an excellent sleep hygiene regime but none of it worked at all. Then, I discovered a number of Reddits and RUclips channels reporting retinol creams can also cause horrific insomnia, so I stopped using retinol ten days ago. My sleep hasn’t improved yet. How long did it take for your sleep to return to normal after ceasing the retinol?

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 3 месяца назад

      This is very similar to me! I did CBT-I therapy because after months of insomnia I had actually developed a fear of not sleeping. This helped me get my sleep back on track. If I use retinol or something with high vitamin a now, I will not sleep at all that night. I would say my sleep returned pretty quicky but like I said, since I had now developed a sleep disorder, I did have to correct that too. The Insomnia Coach on RUclips has great resources.

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 4 месяца назад

      Weight lifting is really good for you and tattoo removal! I would definitely keep it up through out tattoo removal, you will have quicker clearance of ink. Depends on where the tattoo is and how large it it but for the most part I could do anything 24 hours after. If the tattoo is very big you might want to wait 3 days after a session because it might be sore but as long as you shower after and keep area clean you are all good. My skin is perfectly fine after the removal.

    I just got my first removal treatment today! I had to come back and watch your other video again, and saw this one. Did it hurt for a while after treatment? Idk.. it seems they treated mine pretty aggressively. Still hurts a few hours later. Anyway... definitely not getting any more tattoos personally. And how long did your leg stay red after treatment?? Mine is super red. Thanks for an update.

    • @candicefoy
      @candicefoy 4 месяца назад

      Is your tattoo small or big? Soreness and redness is definitely normal. Mine would be slightly red for about a week after but gradually less and less red. I usually get a blister or two a few days after treatment that takes a few days to heal. Make sure you keep it covered/protected and out of the sun :)

      I choose to stay on RUclips because it doesn’t have the same addictive qualities as Instagram or TikTok. I also prefer to consume and create more intentional, educational, long form content which requires more of your attention span making it a higher quality leisure activity. Lastly, I think due to its longer form content, we get more authenticity and discussion on specialized topics. The goal is to be intentional not to aimlessly remove everything. I got “tattoo flu” afterwards just feeling super sick like because my immune system was in shock. One night, I was exhausted, knew I’d sleep like a baby- did my skincare and it was like a drank a pot of coffee. My face was warm- I knew it was the tretinoin. I googled and found your video.
