Stoked this still works. For anyone wondering; - In my case the url contained the word FeatureServer instead of MapServer - I believe the plugin has been integrated into QGIS - For me all the shapefiles connected to the server were loaded in, I didnt need to put a number behind the link tied to a specific shapefile Thanks for the tutorial!

Very helpful, even 7 years later with a newer version, the only issue I had was I was looking at the main toolbar for the tool and not on the attribute table.
