The book of Esther is a powerful story. Even though the name of God is not directly mentioned, He was directly involved. All the stories of the Bible were summarized. Otherwise, they would have filled libraries. The mission, as I understand it, is how fear was converted to strength, faith, and then victory. GOD was involved 🙌🏽 in the whole process. The king and all others heard, learned, and lived through the experience, and God's power was again validated. This was indeed a mission seen and heard by everyone even today. 🙏🏽

One of the most striking verses for me in regards to this has been Hosea 6:6 where God says "I want your constant love, not your animal sacrifices. I would rather have my people know me, than burn offerings to me." God set up all these rules but says, "I put these rules in place because you needed them, but what I really want is your love and trust." It seems like you hear a lot about all the rules and sacrificial system, but things like this kind of gets passed over when talking about the OT.

The seals represent all time . The 7 seals = dispensations. The first seal is the dispensation of innocence (white horse). Adam is the rider. He's given a crown and told to rule over the animals. He's given a bow because he will be the father of all mankind "As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth." Psalm: 127:4. They represent all time and that's why more time is spent on the 6th seal. The 6th seal represents our dispensation: The Church Age. So not only are we given a map but the context also.

Hey Dr. G. Was wondering what your thoughts are on the ideal covenant possibly being as Genesis 15:6, where it basically says that Abraham trusted God and God counted that as his righteousness. Maybe that's what you were referring to at the end there. Dr. Sheldon at PUC pointed that out in one of her studies and I thought it was quite good. It's like the ideal will but then God's will adapted to His people would be the cutting of the covenant- meeting the people where they're at (in a way that is familiar to them). It sounds like the cutting of the animal was fairly common practice if I'm not mistaken. Doesn't it basically signify that "you can do to me as you did to this animal if I don't keep up my end of the covenant?" Thanks for all your content!
