I did not know Alex Cross was based off a book series. My first time hearing of AC was the movie with Tyler Perry. This definitely makes me want to rewatch the movie, watch the show and even read some of the series. This is a dope video!

I like your alternate idea. I wished the movie was an ACTUAL fantasy movie and not a romcom -_- there needs to be way more black fantasy films with actual lore. Kelly's character seems too weak to be the best defense attorney in town. She's completely unprofessional and silly to have an affair with a client accused of murder. She doesn't even have the proof that he didn't do it and she dropping her drawers for him....nonsense. She's also too soft spoken. Her broke husband comes into the kitchen, picks up her files and tells her what cases she's not going to take and I like that she called him out for not paying bills, but her tone was too soft. I'm like girl, put some base in your voice and speak with authority. It's also crazy that she's paying the medical bills for a mother-in-law who's so disrespectful, especially when that mother-in-law has a lawyer son. She needed to stand up for herself more. We're supposed to believe that she's the best defense attorney, but she's too weak to set strict boundaries with her clients, too weak to stand up to her in-laws, too weak to walk away from a bad relationship where she's so suspicious that she needs a private investigator, too naive to see that artist guy is a player and silly enough to sleep with him after seeing this man with another woman.

I think TP actually achieved his goal. Every auntie starting a RUclips to make a review to give him free publicity. All i've seen on my TL for the past 2 weeks is reviews. TP isn't Nolan or Scorsese. He knows his lane.

The DA brother was going to use the case as a platform to run for mayor. If there was a highly publicized court case that brought so much paparazzi, then the police would have also been called to the scene. In all police dramas, detectives, photographers, forensic specialists come out to build the case. Blood and specimen are tested at labs and verified by specialists. How did so much blood soak through the floor and into neighbors house? Where did they get brain matter with her DNA? How in the world could they have faked that without involving so many critical people and then think to use it as a landmark case and keep it a secret at the same time? You can get one person to lie for you-but ten? How was killing her at their house and killing his wife with their kids in the house a great move for his getting elected for mayor? Even if it was self defense it would be too suspicious and would contaminate his run for mayor. The logic was an absolute NO!!!!!

This movie was horrible but Tyler Perry does have some good movies diary of a black woman ,why did I get married (the first one )meet the browns , acrimony (which is my favorite) and the family that preys .I love the oval and all the queens man even though both shows are over the top . But it is still top ten on Netflix 😮

Why tf was the family ever in the hotel together if the mother wasn’t even ever really sick? Why didn’t they show any of the legal work/progress she was making on the case? She only ever mentions the damning evidence against him, but not info on how she plans to defend him/dispute that evidence. How did they get that much blood from the fake victim girl? Remember, she said prosecutors found so much of her blood in his apartment that it leaked down to his neighbor’s house and the blood matched her DNA…? Why didn’t we see any pushback from the family when Mia decides to take on the case? How did the family ever find out she cheated? Why did they try to make it seem like the artist was crazy when she sat down and got info from the gallery owner? All we found out from that interaction was that he was a hoebag and used the same game on the women he creeps with. How long was the brother planning on running for mayor because the movie suggests the mama has had cancer for a while. Why was her husband cutting her expensive checks…where was the money going…? Again, how long have they been in on this cancer lie? I could go on…the amount of plot holes in this movie are just stupid.

love kelly.....she need to stay away from Tyler's film. Her and all A listers. Low budget one dimensional Tyler films. Producer writer and director is the problem...

Also black women especially dark skinned black women like Kelly Rowland who want actual good representation should first start with making sure the script is good because I’m sure she didn’t necessarily need the money.

The problem with Tyler Perry is not that he’s the only person that puts out bad movies. He’s just the loudest of them all who just doesn’t seem to understand how terrible his movies actually are. I’m convinced all of his movies in the past that did well was because someone else definitely had to be in the room writing because there is no way that after years of work it just gets worse and worse.

I didn't feel much chemistry b/t Kelly and the artist guy while watching this movie. He just seemed like an arrogant player who just wanted to score with yet another woman. She's suppose to be a high profile lawyer, but she fell for a regular college frat boy type pretty much.

We all should know by now Tyler does not give a doggone about fully fleashing out a storyline. He bragged about making Acrimony in a week and it showed. That was a whole theatrical release and the climax to end was a dumpster fire. He gets his money in the worst of ways, but people eat it up.

I literally skipped half the movie and still was able to keep up with the story so that says a lot. Ain’t no way I’m giving a Tyler Perry movie 2hrs of my life 😂
