Wow, her comment about using the UX Writing Challenge exercises in your beginning portfolio I would not have thought of on my own.
I tried to replicate this with a set of cards that I illustrated so I placed images onto a set of cards to animate with the logo on the back. I used the Z option to make it look like yours so it looked like it was coming forward in space but it still looks like it's on a 2D plane. Is there something I am missing in terms of the animation to make it look flat?

This is incredible I am creating an app for college. Just to clarify are you first copying and pasting each item on top of each other and then adding texture? How do you add a background photo?
Cool to see the unconventional ways people get into this field. I, for one, went to school for Technical Writing. Nowhere in our studies was there any talk about the field of UX Writing, which is a little crazy to me. The two are an obvious fit.
today is my day 1 of knowing about UX writing , I haven't yet watched this video lets see if i can do it ( currently i write product descriptions for amazon products)
