This is London Underground's 1938 stock tube train accelerating out of Heathrow, a station it would probably never have visited when in service! You can get a good feel for the motor noise and the experience of being in one of these trains in a tunnel, with the ambience of the dim tungsten bulbs.

I was cycling along the new CS5 route at Vauxhall and was surprised when it narrows to barely wider than a bike at this tunnel exit. Is this really the best solution they could come up with?

Whatever dude it is difficult af. I can underwrite too but if I'm writing quickly/focusing on my thoughts i revert right back to overhand. And where the hell is my elbow supposed to go in that position? It becomes even more painful than overhand smudge-style very quickly. Did you learn that way as a child or practice to correct it as an adult? At least we live in the age of keyboard typing and penmanship is much less necessary than it was in the past. I think i'll check out some other less condescending and more informative tutorials on this. Thanks!

Interesting seeing how this is done in other countries, I do this kind of work here in America, for bike lanes and bike boxes we use what is called pre form. It is hardened thermoplastic that comes in different pieces. And you pretty much piece it together like a puzzle and burn it on to the road surface with a rose bud torch. It looks like you guys are using thermoplastic and a small dye to push it in by hand. Amazing job. Very interested in the tool you use for you glass bead application. It looks like a much more efficient way of covering the material evenly and a lot easier on the wrist than the what we use here in the part of the states that I am from. What is the tool called that you distribute the beads from if you dont mind my asking?

I use a jug with a sealed top,that has small holes in for the glass. Check out my freehand Road markings video , I don't require a 2nd man to put straight edges down. Although to be fair the bike in this video is painted on anti skid which isn't a nice surface to paint on .

I kind of remember a teacher showing me this method.
My left handed friends in school always wrapped their hands around from the top, and always smeared their work and had stains on the side of their hand. It was like the 'mark of the lefty'.

Well when you use a fountain pen that's the correct way to write. but I agree that is a lot easier and its pretty comfortable too.

This method isn't unknown to the general population. I don't use this method however because it's uncomfortable as fuck. Try writing pages and pages of notes like that. So tiring.

@@maps600the way that this would work though (solely for prevention of “baby lefty ink foot”) is to end up having your handwriting on the page be backwards, leaning in the opposite direction than would look appropriate, which isn’t ideal.
I see you underwrite,like I do..,when you write...do you turn your paper 30° as they say or do you have it slightly turned or do you just have the paper straight up...just curious..
I do the same thing as well. I turn the paper about 30°, maybe a little less.
When writing cursive, you are suppose to turn the page, not your hand. It might be different for lefties, dunno. Hooked hand contributes to messy handwriting due to too much pressure and reduced agility. It is a crutch people pick up as children to help with the fine motor controls.
