That’s where I agree and disagree. One loft birds are starting to be different in the sense of evolution. Eventually they will be a totally different bird. They only have to be light and fast. I believe a good combine youngster can tear up a one loft race. But a one loft breed youngster wouldn’t compete in a combine race. A combine bird has to not only be light and fast, but it has to be smart and have the drive to come home. They have to break from the pack and dominate the air. And I believe the most successful one loft breeders are the ones that race their birds in a combine
Condition is needed in both olr or combine for birds to be competitive . Club type environment is probably gonna be in better condition because they train hard where as olr managers may not train as hard because they want the make sure the numbers are there when the activation race comes around.
