Powerline Stringerz

Powerline Stringerz are available in US Blanks. Powerline is a wood stringer replacement made from 4-ply, non-woven polymer. The stringers are stronger and lighter than wood with deeper flex and a more resilient return to static. Matt "Mayhem" Biolos used Powerline Stringerz in Julian Wilson and Kolohe Andino's boards for the Red Bull Decades trip. Proctor uses them in Nick Rozsa's boards. The ...

Amazing the shop is still there on Swift Street up the street from Natural Bridges. I used to go there in early 70's to get boards shaped.

Bob is a master surfer and shaper - an asset to his community as well, with a successful business employing several people providing custom shapes to serious surfers. My brother relocated form Florida's east coast to Santa Cruz 25 years ago, for better surf. He discovered an outstanding shaper in Bob P who listens to you as far as the size and shape you are seeking, and makes boards that are sheer magic in the water. Jay Moriarity rode a 9ft high perf Pearson Arrow at Pleasure Point like no other, and an Arrow gun at Mavs. I have ridden his fish and custom boards for 20 years now and the quality of the shape, glass job and airbrush is top notch - at a very competitive price. My highest accolades to an outstanding individual who is always stoked - Thanks Bob

I'm sorry I never had the pleasure of meeting the man who shaped one of the best boards I've ever owned. I had to work full time, 9-5 for the first time in my life. I was in my mid forties and my wife had gone back to grad school so we needed the health insurance. I decided to switch from a short board to a hybrid, went to Arrow Surfboards, and ordered a 7'5" which I assumed would be shaped by Pearson. I rode nothing but that board, even in big SCruz waves, and when my wife finished school, I used it for my traveling board. From 2-8 ft, it rode everything, even big Moss and Scotts Creek. It was fairly wide and difficult to maneuver inside the tube, but other than that, it was just perfect for a slightly older surfer. It had round rails (50-50), little rocker, and was pretty flat bottomed. When it finally delaminated after five years, I gave it away. Thank you so much Michel. I've surfed for over fifty years and had only three magic boards out of so many dozens of boards I've ridden since the early 60's. Too bad I left the states and never want to return to order another board and thank you in person. Good to see you surfing and know you're doing well.

I'm assuming these Incide blanks have some more strength over a wooden stringer? Looking for the blank with the most stringer length to board length. A shortboard with a length of 5'8" to 5'10", good width, and a good rocker with possible volumes. Also, is the brain type stringer hollow? I would ask a shop, but I don't live in an area with that luxury and I've not seen this before.
