Ólafur Arnalds - Saman (Piano Cover)
My rendition of the beautiful new song Saman by Ólafur Arnalds.
This cover is dedicated to the Thai Diver that died helping the trapped football team, coincidentally named Saman.

Insanely talented!
What’s this guys name? If only someone in the crowd would say his name….🙃
how many other gigs you hear good part of the audience actually knowing the name of the bass player and shout it out loud?! Go Joe go
❤
God I wish I had the skills of joe goddamn dart
Wonderful. Here is my amateur try: ruclips.net/video/uIc8thLB8XY/видео.html
Excellent tone, gentlest cover I’ve heard so far
That is a really sweet compliment! And even on my birthday ;)
WHY U CUT ITTTTTTTT
Oh my gosh, he really does it again
I bet Davie504 can’t play this.
he could probably play it note for note but without even a quarter of joes swagger
I see what u did there
Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe
JOE DART ON THE JOE DART
That’s not joe dart
That's not the Joe Dart x3
That's not the Joe dart X4
This is a fender bass, not the musicman joe dart bass, just wanted to point it out since nobody else did.
That’s Joe Dart not on the Joe Dart.
Ce gars est un extra terrestre. Love him
Wish the crowd had've shut up - it's not a football match - I want hear him, not you !!
I disagree, I hate seeing performances with unenergetic crowds. Music like this should have people moving and excited, and the performers deserve to feel that energy from the crowd.
@@HimanXK moving yes, dancing yes - drowning out the actual music, definitely not - the whole "singing" along to music where there's no lyrics is stupid.
@@dominiccrimmings6925 though they’re not drowning the music, but giving the players motivation and good energy to keep playing. I don’t know about you but I can hear the whole performance very loud and clear.
Very good the addition of strings, i would recommend to make sure every note is in the right key hehe, nice job mate
Great bass player in a great band. This music is opposite of what I play (trad folk on acoustic guitar, fiddle, etc.) But, my oh my, this is wonderful.
you should listen to .the olllam. Joe dart is on it. It might be something you're into.
You know someone loves you when they look at you like Joe looks at his BASS!!
whattttttttttttttttttttttttttttt is that cut in the endddddddddd!!!!!!??????????????????????
Horrific, I almost cried
Parts of this kinda sound like “Lost My Trebel Long Ago”, which released a year after this. Anyone else notice?
*treble and yeah I mean he and the rest of them play the same liccs all the time.
that’s bc it’s funky? and fitting? it’s just a lick he played to spend time and come up with new ideas of licks till the next bar...
@@guyarshansky3341 I’m not saying it’s bad that they do that, a lot of artists even I find myself doing that, I was just sayin
@@ITZTHEBEATLES4221 I was talking to the dude who started this thread... though yeah lol I know, most of the artists around the world, including me and you are doing that. A way of thinking.
A lot of their music is in a similar key
I want someone to look at me like Theo and Cory look at Joe.
Joe an Billy Sheehan would be interesting.
Joe and Buckethead
sehr schön gespielt, und auch noch mit violine, von olafur kenne ich es nur ohne aus dem laden
That's a really nice soft tone!
Watching Joe having dinner is fun
The first Video i see that has 0 dislikes :O Speaks for itself :D
Sadly there's 2 now
Sadly I can’t see now
People don’t appreciate Cory Wong enough..... that being said joe is the fucking man

it's so beautiful.
I’m surprised, this was well done.
Thank you very much <3
beautiful cover rendition of this.. the addition of the strings just lifted it higher
That is good to hear, was really doubting my choice of adding the strings.
Nah, this guy is right.
Really nice rendition of this magical song by òlafur ! Well done Thomas ! I have made a synthesia piano tutorial for learning it if you need. Enjoy :) ruclips.net/video/SJFsHB5nI3Q/видео.html
Love your rendition =)
Thank you very much!
Very beautiful cover of an amazing composer ! ♥
That means a lot to me, thanks!
@@Tsharkeye Hi just wanted to ask you, do you have the original lossless WAV file of this song named Eclipse Hanz Zimmer strings made by ashton gleckman 3 years ago, for my analysis, as the in the original youtube video, the link for the file download is broken. m refeering to this video, you commented on it saying you were happy with the cubase project file, just in case you have the original WAV file. it would be nice? ruclips.net/video/vupSoGlmoXY/видео.html 2. Also if you have the cubase project, can you please give me the individual stems of this song, i would be so grateful to you.
Glasgow Celtic Champions
It is not "babysitting". It is just the general vibe of a show, clapping along and chanting because of the energy of the moment. Let people enjoy themselves.
The living embodiement of funk
Bomb ISIS and Asad with this guy. First the will be confused, then they will start moving, shaking and dancing, and then the funky love will flow
The Jaco of our generation?
I wouldnt go that far maybe
The Joe Dart of our generation.
i agree, but he's very young (27 yo i think). let's see what happens
@@bernardocoimbra2777 Jaco is Jaco, Joe is Joe. There will never be another "Jaco", simply because 1. each player has his/her own individuality and 2. nobody will ever evolve the instrument like Jaco did. Jaco is much like Hendrix; completely redefined the bass guitar and broke many boundaries. He was revolutionary. Joe is a great player and is one of my many inspirations, but Jaco was just on another level. Joe said he's fine with being a sideman and that he's not much of a composer, as opposed to Jaco, who could take the lead and compose beautifully. It's unfair to compare both (or any musician, really), as they are both individuals with individual skills.
Joe Dart is no Jaco, but Jaco is no Joe Dart.
Plays a bass solo and people listen.
:D
bass solo, take one.
and people sing on the lign bass. WTF ?
That is an apt description for what in fact happened.
@@shaneknox it's notable because people never listen to the bass solo
This had a Meters-esque vibe to it.
What an absolute beast
What is this man? O.o
JOE DART ON THE FEN-DER BASS
911 yes please arrest joe dart he commited some crimes of the funk persuasion
RIP nugreta
Amen
wow!!!!He is good!!
Holy Mother of God.
