Wall Mount LED Wall for Churches (Altitude LED Case Study at Red Rocks Fellowship Church)
Hey Billy, Great work! God bless. - John Christopher
Nice. Curious if you hear rack fans?
Surprisingly, you don’t hear them down in the seating area, just when you’re in the booth.
@@AltitudeLED I always wondered about the churches that have a separate room...thought overkill. Then it dawned on me watching this that there are fans. Duh. Lol. Glad it works out! In our booth you can hear the PC fans a little. On stage we have one amp with a variable speed fan I haven't noticed for a long time. Congregation doesn't notice !
why are the projectors still there?
Freaking lazy. He literally says why in the first minute of the video.
Production/Tech director note: You always have a backup for church events during the week as you work on projects like these. You don't wanna bring down your projectors and end up needing them. We let the projectors stay there for another couple of weeks as backup while we use the video wall. Not that we are hoping for something to go back but still better than having nothing.
@@billymalogi makes a lot of sense we got a bunch of led panels at our church after one of our high end projectors died and we had 2 and the working one we still have but was taken down immediately after the led wall was in place so just wondering.
How much was this screen with install?
Around $60k with our simplified install service.
Beautiful design!
D3 or nothing!
Hey Jake, I am working with a 20ft by 9ft LED screen what would be the dimensions for us to prepare graphics ?
Your screen is a 20:9 ratio then. So if you have a maximum output resolution of 1920x1080, (which is 16:9 but this doesn't matter since your screen isn't going to be the same) you'll have to divide the maximum width (1920 pixels wide) by the ratio for the width (20) which gives you 96 pixels. Then, you multiply that 96 pixels by the height of your ratio (9) to give you a maximum height of 864 pixels. So 1920x864 is the resolution you are probably looking for if you have a standard 1080p output. Hope this helps!
How much did the ground support system cost?
Always available for anyone that need help in mapping there Led screen
Always available for anyone that need help in mapping there led screen
Instead of a second computer, I assume you could use something like Resolume Avenue on Computer 1 to drive the Video Input layer in Pro7, and then use that layer in combination with Looks to send different content to different screens. Jake made a video on this topic one month after this one. (ruclips.net/video/0jzmsSVWLes/видео.htmlsi=zR-whjHiZ14fv7oB) Great video, I appreciated the details on the Looks and Themes and Screen setup, and how to handle non-16:9 wall and content.
Well done - blends in well with the stained glass pic on them!
"You guys baptize babies right?" 😆 "oh yeah it works for baptist adults too" thats great!! lol
Just curious if there was a structural or technical issues not allowing the screen to be moved up another foot. It would look soooo perfect and beautiful fully aligned with the current stained glass in the church.
Exactly what I thought, my OCD can’t bear to see that unalignment
I’ll ask our install team! My guess is we didn’t want the screens to be too high for sight lines and people straining their next too much especially in front row.
I was also confused by this.
I wasn't sure how to really use it or start but you guys definitely made me feel more comfortable. I appreciate you guys for this walkthrough! I want to use this software asap for my church and when we have youth nights
That intro🤣
Thanks for this breakdown... One of the best on RUclips.... My question is, how do you account for pixel pitch with cameras?... Some places, have smooth clean seamless walls on camera and other places you can see the individual LEDs on the wall (more side of stage cameras)
Installing ours this week!
Interesting demo, good showcase of what's possible.
Why 30 fps? 😮
Love this. Any chance on a demo on how to utilize graphics for an ultra wide Led Wall?
How does this work with Pro Presenter
Thanks, I need to learn how to adapt to knew tools.
Thank for the video! I'd only say that make sure to be neutral because the maintenance and upkeep of projectors is simple compared to LED screens and even laser projector screens can last for way over a decade without losing performance.
Great content🤍
Can there be a video made to show how to connect ProPresenter 7 / Resolume to a display larger than 1080p. Like 2560x768 as example.
Yep that’s on our list.
Can you confirm with the 2 Pro7 setup: You are running an output to the LED Wall Processor from Computer 1, and from Computer 2 you're running an output to video switcher that is running to the LED Wall also. You could condense this setup using the same technique with less hardware. Instead of sending an NDI Out from Computer 1, instead run the NDI out from computer 2 and use a look that is using either the live video input for the NDI In, or creating a shape linked to the video input on any of the other layers, other than the mask layer. Then you just have the one input at the LED Processor and you can bypass the switcher. You would still have full control of what goes to the LED wall. You may lose a little bit of flexibility depending on how you would be utilizing all the layers but this would be a reverse engineered way to utilize 2 ProPresenters for the same concept. Thanks for the Video.
One bad thing about the LED wall is the power requirement. Gotta factor in the cost of having someone put in new breakers, maybe even a new panel. That adds up quickly. Projector only requires one outlet to be ran. LED walls do look sweet. My church got one a few years ago.
sometimes is better to use an bigger led tv like 65", I think is more cheap than led panel or same price as good projector
Especially with the prices of 84" and 75" TVs being so low. $1,000-1,500 is sweet.
Price... most churches ain't got the funds for all that. In 5 years maybe then more companies will offer better pricing
Yes, fortunately prices have come down and continue to go down. Technology deflation FTW.
True, but… the price 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, fortunately prices have come down and continue to go down. Technology deflation FTW!
The LED wall easily has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 whereas a projector is considered "good" at 10:1. Your white screen is your black and you are correct about ambient light issue. Hopefully LED walls will continue coming down in price for the small churches I work with.
This is a great video. Thanks for Sharing.
So, 5 months ago @Churchfront was paid by Thor to sponsor an LED Wall Ultimate Guide Video and then @Churchfront comes out with a couple of models under their own brand, Altitude? @Jake, did you return the sponsorship money and thank Barry and the guys at Thor for showing you the way? BTW your 5-year "Industry Leading" warranty is not industry leading. Planar and Absen have models with lifetime warranties. Blizzard currently has a 7-year warranty. Refresh LED offers 24/7 technical support. Just sayin'.
Jake here. A lot of assumptions are made here with zero knowledge of my prior relationship with Thor and my intentions of partnering in Altitude. Feel free to hit me up on socials if you'd like to discuss further.
@@AltitudeLED I think that is what I did! My assumptions led to the two questions I asked on this video and another on your other channel. Also curious about the "industry-leading" warranty claim.
Awesome video. I needed this like a week ago. This is great.
Awesome!
Interesting setup. Thanks for sharing the ins and outs.
What does a system like this cost? I am seriously looking for something like this for my band (it’s a gypsy jazz band)
Awesome video. Question for you. With the Decl link duo or deck link 8k. You said that with one of the outputs they are running led wall. Are the other outputs for the side screens and what else is plugged into the deck link. Key and fill take up 2 of my spots.
1 output was to the LED Wall, output 2 for live stream switch, 3 & 4 Key/Fill.
Can you generate moving backgrounds with Midjourney?
No not right now. There’s other very expensive software that video game designers used to create virtual, moving backgrounds, but that would be a whole other level of skill set.
ChatGpt just announced sora that can generate moving objects like the stock footage we are going to worship the lord with all the tech
DUUUUUDE.. lol. @churchfront
Great cool 😎 idea 💡
I attend South Fellowship Church. The wall is magnetic!
cool video bro
Just make sure it’s not too loud
@@Soulstest we run our LED wall at 120dBc
