Fantastic concert from Sophie Allison. Too many highlights to mention (though shout out to the amazing drummer). Great song from a great album. Thrilled to have caught her on tour.

The first track of Sophie’s I heard back when it was released and played by KEXP. Still very much a firm favourite.

1994 saw a new Star Trek film. Who better than to ask about it than Rowe? So very young!

Thursday 31st May 2018 at the Portland Arms in Cambridge. A classic from Avi's first self-titled album. A great one-man show that featured both classic and new tracks.

Thursday 31st May 2018 at the Portland Arms in Cambridge. The last song of the fantastic set (and pretty much my favourite track of his), Avi gives a phenomenal rendition of Overwhelmed with Pride.

Is he better or worse than Crazy Saw Man? Entirely up to you to decide.
David Holmes - My Mate Paul

Fantastic track from the talented Mr Holmes. The video is similar in style to Gritty Shaker (which makes sense as they're both from the excellent Let's Get Killed LP). Oddly enough whilst Gritty Shaker is available on RUclips, I didn't notice a copy of this. It's a nice little 70s inspired bit of fun - enjoy!

I noticed that all the other videos of this on RUclips have a completely different ending to the one I have. Basically as Richard crosses the road, having walked past the girl, this version takes a much darker turn which sees him punched to the ground. The video ends with Richard reaching a wall - the video cuts just as he's about to touch it - in stark contrast to the other version which sees ...

A re=upload of two of The Wonder Stuff's set on stage 2 at the Cambridge Folk Festival 2010. The video is now available in hi-def (the previous version was uploaded to youtube directly from my phone and had lost a lot of the detail).

Gemma Hayes - Another for the Darkness
The origin of Philomena Cunk
I flew all the way from Berlin that day to see her play live at the Scala. At Fobb records I was on the right.
Nice. I saw her play at the UCL student union on a different night. Great show - Gemma was quite heavy with the guitars in a MBV way. Ive got another 3 from the same set on this channel.
@@5byfivedesign Hi! Thanks for pointing me to the other videos. I now realize this is from another year. I was at FOOB records in March 2006.
Top mems
2 dislikes?!?!? Err..names and addresses please, my mate Paul is on his way 👊 Great tune, one of my all time favourites from the classic era of MTV in the 90's
Lmao bless him! I’ve seen him in both Cambridge and bury st ed 😂 sometimes see him on the way to work!
i am amused
such a fuckin sexy sound
WOW, i seen the complete OFFICIAL VIDEO, i can die happy :)
used to work with this guy when we worked for Johnson and Bailey builders in cambridge on the Blue boar site. He was a carpenter back then ( but you could probably guess that ! ) He used to play his saw too :-)
Saw him in the shop today haha
loooool saw him the other day! he still going!
After many years of searching, I found one song from Psybadek. Still love it.
μπραβοοοο..............
good one
He always makes me smile when I see him In town, keep on playing :)
really high quality audio
@JustTigerLillies Do you know what it is called now? Has it been released yet? I look for fairground but I never find this song, just another called fairground. :(
Thanks for the kind words. It makes all the graft worth it xx
These folk rockers made a great cover of the Rolling Stone's Jumpin Jack Flash for the documentary '1968' which was hosted by Tom Brokaw. Great sound. I bought their albums 2 years ago and listen to them frequently. Long live Kill Henry Sugar.
THIS WEEK....I WILL MOSTLY BE PLAYING....A SAW.
He has the right spirit, at least.
That's different!!
This video has a different meaning to the more common one. Even thought the rest of the Verve did not join him, you briefly see them just after those's guys attack him. They look at him like they think he's pathetic, which parallels what happened in the original video where they started to follow him. Anyway, thanks for uploading the video.
How was leg bust originally? He wasn't molested like Zappa was on stage I hope!
He was reading lyrics from the top of his accordion at Pompey gig.
Thanks for the post. We couldn't record this song at the Pompey gig as I was wrestling with the 60 year old usherette who was trying to take my camera....bitch. Did you get any grief?
I saw them in Hastings on the 27th! I'd never heard them before. Just went on the strength of an article I read about them. Good fun.
Piss on Your Grave! <3 Where did you see them?
@5byfivedesign Very unusual for them to play without the piano, must have been an interesting show. Looking forward to the rest of your clips. Thanks!
:D Thanks for the upload! It's a new song, it's called Behind Baa's. Hey, did Martyn (singer) sit through the entire gig? Hope he didn't bust his leg again... And where's the piano?
My favorite band ever!
his stomach lost the battle some time back, but hey I cant talk, mines almost as bad
again, thank you!
i knew it would be a matter of time till some muppet started the abuse... as far as my comments are concerned i did write that they are my favourite band of all time, and that J is a legend.. were all entitled to our opinions, i enjoyed it but i have seen them 5 times and this show didnt really do it for me, im sooooo fuckin sorry.
thank you.
its actually "Plans"
when was it taken?
they are great, and dont get me wrong J mascis is a fuckin LEGEND..but to be honest for me the disinterest spoilt it this time...maybe im just getting too old. J is J hes always been weird, i just didnt feel it last night. just my opinion. still before i get any abuse, they are AMAZING.
i just saw them for the first time at the wellfleet beachcomber which was a truly awesome combination of performer and venue. lou seems kinda friendly but j seems really disinterested. lou mentioned they were about to start touring heavily and j looked totally burned out, but i guess that's the way he always is. i think they're great anyway.
i was there, seen them 5 times now and saw them last time they did the junction back in 97. favourite band of all time but i wish theyd cheer up a bit. i used to think it was cool but now i just think its rude..lol. wouldnt hurt to say hello, involve th crowd a bit.. was also at the kentish town gig and hated it, much prefer the greenmind, where you been stuff so the wagon, out there etc last night hit the spot. peace.
