AI channel?
That is correct. We use NotebookLM.
@@ChristianHeinke You don't think that should be prominently labelled so as to not waste people time or to be mistaken for a liar/fraud/conartist? You might as well start behaving decently because laws will be made for you people soon.
I have this book somewhere.
Good job, glad I found your channel
Water Dune?!?!
Whether or not. I dig it!
Is this ai?
That is correct. I collect the articles from different serious sources and NotebookLM produces the Podcast out of it.
@@ChristianHeinke thanks. It's pretty solid. It needs to learn the art of the pause
-Worms of Arrakis- Nope, Sea Worms of -Caladan- Cachalot [will I Cachalot of flak from this comment ?]
Toshiro Mifune was the best!!!
Cool "podcast"! Love TBB--one of my favorite movies of all time! Good job! I didn't know about the big influence on Belushi.
I guess I was late for the party! I didn't discover Robert Heinlein's books until 1987, when I was 30. Have Space Suit, Will Travel was the first of his books that I read. It became my favorite book instantly .. I have read many of Heinlein s' books since then , and he is my favorite author. He's one of the greatest Sci-Fi authors!
OBRA MAESTRA
Am I the only one slightly weirded out by how scripted this interaction between the two seems? Feels like over done performance and not a real conversation… unless of course these two are waving their arms around while they speak like two banshees screaming hot air into each others mouths.
My siblings watch a lot of anime with my mom so I started watching Japanese movies with her, just something I like to do with her and can say it's our thing. One of the films we watched was Seven Samurai and holy shit this movie was so good!!! The story, the acting, the final battle everything was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you've never seen it before, watch it!
You need to show examples of your points
This story is one of Heinlein's "juvenile" novels, and is extremely well-written. Kip is such a seemingly nerdy guy who is intrigued by anything related to engineering, science, and mathematics (probably like a young Heinlein) that you're left to wonder if he has any other life (but that seems okay under the circumstances). The description of the suit and Kip's detailed work to get it in fully operational condition was superb. Kip becomes so engrossed in the intricacies of suit construction and repair that he forms a relationship with it, and the ensuing "converstions" between Oscar and Kip start to seem almost comically real. The name Oscar also shows up in Glory Road." Ideas involved in the spacesuit design and repair are seen again in "Starship Troopers" when Heinlein writes about the powered armor worn into combat when soldiers are "dropped" into enemy territory/planets from orbiting troop carrier starships. Peewee stands up to the stresses imposed on her, and adds significantly to the story with her genius-level IQ. The Mother thing is the character that actually adds a bit of humanity (although she's VERY alien) and a sense of justice to the storyline. Peewee notes that the Mother thing is a "cop," which is true. We need cops like that on Earth now! Kip carries out the task of placing the beacon built by the Mother thing in an appropriate place for signal propagation. Too bad it's on Pluto, and Kip must endure being frozen, (even suited-up in Oscar) almost fatally. He is so horribly injured that he has to be "rebuilt" over the course of many days/weeks in a medical facility that has access to the unlimited knowledge and resources of an entire galaxy. Kip actually rises to the level of a hero when he carries out what was essentially a one-way mission. Anyway the story is a good "yarn" and was thought-provoking.
Pity it turned out they lied to us kids and space was only ever a fake idea of the stars. Nobody ever went to space. Nobody ever will. Every little boy wanted to be an astronaut in the 60s and 70s. I was one. They gave us false dreams. NASA is fake asf. It's all science fiction.
my favorite samurai movie
I read Shogun when the book came out and looking forward to seeing the Movie remake. The Island protected by the Divine Wind.
This is literally an AI generated podcast
My favourite Arnold film and weirdly seems to be a prediction of things that are happening now
Really enjoyed reading the book back then
Missing the left brain/right brain angle of Wintermute. The cute is dim.
Sucks 😮
The Trisolarians (three suns) are an insect like race. To us they are the size of tiny insects with a hive type mentality. They are basically incapable of independent thought. Weird stuff.
One of my favorites by Heinlein.
Hold on a second - the Neanderthal is kicked out of consideration, because the Court observes that that branch of the ancestors is not directly related to the Roman or Kip.
I know what is unique about the Acolyte the terrible writing and very average directing. The Jedi in this show did not have flaws, they were just plain unlikeable and not very interesting. The show had a very interesting premise it might have worked in the hands of film makers with experience and real talent.
I loved it when Wormface got the splat, don't mess wit us Monkey-boys, fool ! I read that book in 1972. :) I R Old.
Reading Robert Heinlein as a teenager made me the libertarian engineer that I am today.
The worrying thing is this in my feed. It feels like AI but it does really sound like shallow media types talking about sci fi and they have read the book.
It is AI, it's Google's version of it
Yeah. AI generated nonsense
ai slop
This was my favorite book when I was a teen.
My 1st sci-fi book; I was just 8 years old. I've wanted to be a space pilot ever since. The computer has brought me as close as I'll ever get.
Loved this book and love all of Heinlein's works!
I wish I could have got born in the year 1958, instead of been born 11 years later and had I been born in 1958 then 5 years later in the year 1963 the year when classic Dr Who started on bbc1 with Bill Hartnell in monochrome and ran for 26 years I would have been 5 and in the year 1968 I would have been 10 and in 1978 when classic Sci-fi series Blakes Seven began on bbc1 I would have been aged 20 instead of aged only 9 . I also have seen, sci-fi films from the 1950s and they are awesome in billions of ways and also been in black and white is awesome too.
All of these Deep Dives are AI-generated by NotebookLM. The channel should say that.
NotebookLM is amazing.
The craft that seemingly moved by pure thoughts and clean living.
I think my first Heinlein was "Podkayne of Mars" -- worth your time. My 6th Grade in-school book purchase deal had me spending my own 60 cents! That was 1966 and I was a goner. Heinlein is IT for me. "Moon is a Harsh Mistress" for me was 1968 and Heinlein comes within a hairsbreadth of predicting a modern-day internet based around telephone connections. When I found "Have Spacesuit-- Will Travel" it was the cover art that did it for me. Ed Emshwiller is the artist. He did lots of 30s, 40s pulp magazine pieces. There's an interior piece of the hardcover that shows the two characters making their forced march on the barren surface of the Moon. Evocative. You touch upon the good parts but for me the whole durn book is filled with good parts. Heinlein wrote a series of what he and his agent called juveniles. Anything but! Starman Jones, Star Beast, Double Star-- just a start of the list. One of your commenters mentioned "The Rolling Stones" about the Stone family of geniuses and witty people! That book left me wanting a sequel very badly-- up to today. All of them had a core belief in Man's ability to get to the outer worlds, asteroids and dig in. Which made that adventure part so rich. I recommend reading the first dozen pages of "Glory Road." You feel that time in American history and there's Bob, just skipping along. The rest of it is sly and informative tech fantasy. Wonderful stuff. Lastly-- I praise Heinlein's writing style. So direct, erudite and exciting when needed. Part of that ability to drag us into that past future feel.
are these AI voices?
Than youtube for suggesting this. Who knew, thoughtful discussions about movies and novels in tidy 10 minute doses. Thank you.
Awesome! Thanks for this video. This was one of the 1st full books I ever read; I was on the other side of the country visiting my grandparents for the summer and nothing to see (just buildings, no countryside, and just reruns on TV), no friends, and eventually bored outta my mind (as much as I loved my grandma and grampa) and this was the book I picked up while out one day with them. Talk about an awesome escape. Even got my friends hooked on it by telling them all about it (in what must've been a hyped up state). Ironically, for such an impactful book, I haven't thought about it in decades until very recently.
I read this amazing book in 1959 and was Hooked ! I made it a goal of reading every single one of them. Also I love the original illustration ! (Edit for book illustration)

Part of Molly Millions' baggage comes from her relationship with a courier called Johnny, the main character in Johnny Mnemonic, a short story also by Gibson
I was actually going to say exactly that
laziest content ever.
I always thought Stargate:Universe was a take on RWR. I really liked that book, and just reread it after years six months ago. It's a great, compelling book. I'm surprised to hear it was divisive. Gravity's Rainbow, THAT'S divisive.
"Deep dive"? Bruh, that was a half assed recap.
I feel like it needs one of those "no diving, shallow water" signs so people don't get hurt by the misleading title 😂
