Is it me or does this game reuses sound effects from Paper Mario 64?

Survival fever is the best mode, played that with my friends all the time back in the day. When there's four players and everyone knows the microgames it gets really fast and hectic.

I should point out the music in the cave levels was changed in the GBC version. Also the "music" in Stop and Go Station was replaced with that of the mine cart levels...

@8:45 Well, I tried to like it, given that they actually brought the game back for the newer systems, since at the time I had gotten rid of my NES and SNES, but the technical inferiorities were tough to swallow...

Other than the instant respawn, I actually like being the bomb in this game better than in 64. Of course I’ve never played this Battle Mode because you need at least three copies of the game to access it. I think if they ever bring this back in a future MK game, which I really hope they do, it should respawn after a few seconds when hit by an item or hazard, and then when you hit someone, then that’s it. I also really love how you always get mushrooms from touching item boxes to help you catch up to your target.

Finally beat everything. Whew! That was something. I'm pretty sure you cannot beat "Corn" or "Angler" without guessing.

Fun fact: it’s possible to tell you’re both in the same room just by listening! The game audio seems to be coming from your speakers, which would create horrible echo over a Discord call, but not if everyone is in the same room!
