Filmed: 9/6/24. Now this is something you don’t see very often in a Target. It has GAL fixtures. I won’t be surprised if these elevators get modernized in the future or in a few years from now.

Filmed: 8/23/24! This Hotel is close to the King Street Metro, Amtrak, and VRE Station. This is a nice Hotel that offers you free hot breakfast. The rooms itself are pretty nice. Filmed: 8/22/24! The first elevator has already received a call station which is the service elevator. But it was not in service when I came. But the elevators are in the stage of modded in progress’s What’s really cool is when you select your floor, it makes a buzzing sound. It also buzzes when the elevator travels passing by other floors. Credit to @UncommonElevators

These elevators are now Keycarded but not smart keyed.

@@dmvelevators Supposedly yes but one good thing for key-carded (not Smart Keyed), is that you can ride these elevators with a guest tapping their key-card for their floor and you can hit your floor when they hit theirs. This tailgate technique works on many key-carded hotel elevators that are just regular key-carded.

going hydraulic in a grocery store (extremely busy) for four floors is a recipe for disaster, this is properly adequate

This place was locked when I tried to come in. The elevators are still original and there are tenants in the building but I guess you need a key now.
I got lucky because someone was going in the building and I think someone called and opened the door for the person and I just went right in. But I kinda thought the doors were open during business hours

they aren't outdated... the MD elevator records state that these were last inspected in February 2024. An elevator's inspection records aren't outdated just because there's not an up to date printout posted in the car, which isn't even required in many areas. Any major grocery store brand, especially an upper tier one, isn't gonna blatantly illegally run their equipment lol

The elevator hasn’t been nudging lately. The reason why it was nudging before was because of how bad the sensor was for the door of the elevator
@@dmvelevators Oh speaking of nudging, A similar thing happened to me sometime late last year. I was visiting a campus near me, and a Lula elevator was nudging for no reason in one side. It was definitely odd lol. Thankfully it was a gentle car horn beep, and not a harsh buzz like that one.

My local Macy's at Coral Square also got this same modernization at the beginning of 2023 (as the THIRD elevator to get modernized at THAT mall), following the Montgomery Vector at Sears by Epco Survivor in 2013 and then the Westinghouse at JCPenney by GAL VPMC in 2019. It was definitely annoying. The elevator tech came out today and told me that the sensor on elevator car #1 was bad and that’s what caused the elevator to do that. They had to wait on a part and stuff. But it was still running good. Last week after I left work, the elevator got stuck on the 3rd floor and it was open halfway and closed halfway. When I called the elevator, it did not register. But it did register the other car to come up. The elevator tech had to come out a few times also for the past 2 weeks to identify the problem. It was doing that outside of the video as well. It was nudging for no reason. But it was fixed today with new sensors
