    One of the common misconceptions about CHESS, is that players often believe that they can improve simply by playing MORE games. While that can be true... That is only partially correct. It can, however, be corrected by mental discipline. You are combining whatever chess skill problems you have with the artificial/arbitrary deadline of Jan. 1, 2025, which has been magnifying the frustration of any loss. It's obvious, to me, that you are a smart guy, but you are primarily "smart", outside of chess. Inside of chess, is a different matter, entirely. Chess is a weird game where your own intelligence (if incorrectly applied) can actually slow your progress, because you're accustomed to a certain type of success, but chess has its own "rules of success". You must learn to find them & use it to your advantage. 1 of the most valuable attributes of a successful chess player is the scientist-style of pure logic in chess analysis. I developed this trait as a University Math & Science student. I don't know your educational background, so I can't suggest a specific type of program to help you...yet. You sometimes make minor errors in analysis (from lack of specific chess knowledge). Right now, your losses have been demoralizing, because you aren't doing (& may not even know) what will work best for you, in each situation. This is my opinion. If you watch my video of Gukesh vs. Ding Game 11 from a few days ago, it will demonstrate that I know what I'm talking about, strategically (you've already seen some of my tactical skills). Best of luck, as always!

  • @TheChessProfessor-MyDadsRules
    @TheChessProfessor-MyDadsRules День назад

    Game 1 White's Qb3! takes advantage of the premature ...Bf5 abandonment of b7. So, ...Qc8 would solve that problem instead of playing ...Nc6? Qxb7! ...Nb4?, when White is already winning. Find 1 or 2 MAIN openings that suit your style & MASTER them. You are playing too many openings & your lack of preparation is hurting your results. I've been a chess master for over 30 years & those little things are impeding your progress. I hope this helps.

    I think the best way to get better in chess is to love it, many people just do it out of a pressure or just for the sake of getting better without actually liking a game, which then results in tilts and stuff, you keep going even after many loses which shows ur passion for this. I hope ur passion won't get overshadowed by the fact that you're trying to reach 2000 elo as soon as possible, wish u luck bro!!!!

    • @Verbux
      @Verbux 6 часов назад

      Agreed. After a loss, if I obsess over getting into theoretically sound positions, I do terribly. When I put more focus onto playing correct and interesting moves, I typically can pull myself out of tilting.

    I really like your overall attitude & I think it contributes so much to your success! All you need to do is find My Dad's Rule #2 in any video & your losses will begin to decrease, as you incorporate it into your game. If you want to test your ability... Sit down & watch any of my MEGA Training videos & try to find the winning move & then, compare YOUR time vs. my time for each problem. Each problem is more difficult (by rating) then the previous one. That 2 Knights defense did not seem to be comfortable for you. That uncomfortable "feeling" caused your confidence to decline (even while you were WINNING), which explains why you LOST. The LESSON: find openings that make you feel comfortable! (Now, you should be able to see the value of this phrase.) Luckily, you came back & WON game #2. I hate losing any game, but realized that there is a way to profit, so I see LOSING as the opportunity to LEARN how to WIN, more often! This is how I WON so many chess tournaments in the 80's & 90's.

    youre thinking too fast stronger players outcalculate others by not skimming through fast, see moves and try find best options in my opinion bd6 is fine for an rapid game, but you played the middlegame by just looking for one move threats instead of be5 doesnt qe5 make more sense g3 kinda forced and you keep improving while white is weakening their position, try be slower, nd when he castled you should have definitely brougt all the rooks to the game and start atacking he barely had threats is position was so nactive in the opening, even if you develop the rooks to the e and d files i wont care about the pawn on c6 cause my position looks so active.
