Having read the manga I really feel like they have a chance at making something mediocre really good. The manga isn't bad at all, it certainly poses good questions and explores many concepts in interesting ways, but outside of that the reading heavily downright frustrated me, or caused me to sigh in disappointment more than once. I agree bad things happen to good people yada yada specially in wars. However I do not care for the way this manga went about it. And in general it really feels like the latest arc is nothing but a stretch, it's frustrating a little gross, and that the manga should have ended like 50 chapters ago. Idk. I just got very frustrated and I'm definitely not going to be catching up on it anymore. I hope the anime does it justice, and fixes those dumb plot points or downright removes them. The concept of having a definition of what or who you are being forced down your throat based on someone else's desires instead of who or what you are and refusing to listen to you is something millions of people struggle with and I think it's healthy to look into it with the fresh perspective of pushing boundaries and accepting that just being yourself without playing into the desires of others is okay, but this manga's approach to the concept wasn't smart. And instead of being invigorating or entertaining or even relatable, it was annoying, downright dreadful and was never touched upon ever again so what even WAS the point. I'm crossing my fingers in the hopes the anime is better than that, and that a second season never happens.

This anime is so stressful on my heart but i can't stop watching. Hope they put it on netflix
