It's very damaging to a cars fuel system. Lots of cars break down because of this and cause improper ignition of fuels which cause more pollution and bills for you're break downs.

Corn based ethanol is a HUGE scam to prop up farmers. It takes .9 gal of ethanol to produce 1 gal. It's not a viable fuel source.

bambang303378 Not entirely sure on kg, but in 2012 an average of 352 gallons of ethanol for 1 acre of corn. (1.33 kL ,4046 sq m)
One acre yields 7,280 lbs of corn. 7,280 lbs of corn makes 352 gallons of ethanol. 352 gallons of ethanol ÷ 7,280 lbs of corn = 20.68 lbs of corn per gallon of ethanol. 9.38kg (20.68lbs) corn = 3.78 liters (1 U.S. gallon) It takes 2.48kg of corn to make 1 liter of ethanol. Or. 20.68 pounds of corn to make 1 U.S. gallon of ethanol.
