What are the 'Sarly Gardens?' Awful! Yes, a beautiful voice but the meaning of the song is SO lost in the technical attributes of this singer. It's too showy offy. It is an Irish folk song written by an Irish poet. I'm sure Benjamin Britten meant it to be 'true' to lyric. It is not nice to listen to.

Well, as a mezzosoprano voice, here I am studying my homework for my singing lessons. I have to present this song and sing it as accurate as possible in one run. The piece is so full of love, grieving and sadness, but at the same time is so romantic and tender. Melts my heart.

This is the piano player do not has any understanding how to play the piano, he is hammering the piano key board like he is play for hall of deaf audience, and he do hot have any musical ability, because piano it is not brass instrument. This composition was composed for string instrument by Joahin Nin.

Whereas the singing strikes me as adequate but not outstanding, I am filled with intense admiration for the beautiful performance of the piano accompaniment. Chapeau!

It Is Not Benjamin Britten, sorry folks...it was sung in Ireland before the 1900's ( Benjamin was not yet born-he did an arrangement, but ? ) The original Irish music ( arrang'mt ) is better Check it out for yourselves.

The piano-playing in this and the rest of this performance of the Hermit Songs is absolutely appalling. She is making up over half of the notes - and in this song, plays only 10% of what's actually written. It's like a shred video, except it's not. The singer deserves a lot better.
