Its hilarious to watch to be sure... Ive seen those buggers just evaporate high level rexes, even alphas IF you have a good enough level of the beasties inside to hang in. The Dimorphs are especially nasty. Vultures would be awesome too.. but I couldnt get them to have an easy pathing in and out.. they kept getting stuck in the doorways.

I had no issue with even Alpha Leeds.. so it should hold up well for you. Let me know if you have any issues. And make sure all your X plants are on and firing :)

From what I found on Reddit, R3 moves coin and R1 moves inventory. Give that a shot and let me know if that solves the riddle :)

Theyve changed a lot since Age of Sorcery, some good changes, some not so great. Doesnt even play like the same game anymore.

Thanks! I never got into WoW, but my son was HEAVY into it. This game seems much more immersive to me than WoW did.. nothing against WoW... it did a great service to moving the gaming community into mainstream, but I do like the graphics better here. I have quite a few OGs that were former WoW addicts and they say the same thing you did, so it must be true :)

Not in my experience.... Im not sure which randomizer impacts the meteor falls.

It IS... always something else to do. The OGs are on Cimmeria, if you want a group to play with, hop in.. :) We just do PvE, but we have a great time!

Yeah.. it has some issues with the 30 series cards... stupid is 100% correct. Ive got a 2080 on my computer that I played it to start with and seemed hot but no more so than Ark. My new rig has a 4070 Ti and havent had any heat issues.

@@SirMitsuruji5 Probably goes without saying, but make sure you update to the latest video driver as well. I fired up my desktop with the 2080 in it after I got your comment, just to see if I misremembered anything. Upon launching the game I got a LOT of artifacting and it ran like crap. But once I verified files and uploaded the latest video driver, it ran fine last night.. didnt even get the "jet engine" fans like I get when running ASA on this rig.

There definitely IS some quirkiness on the consoles coming in. Im hoping that will get resolved. I know we play with some console players in the OG crew on the cross server Cimmeria that havent had many issues.. but I think its something that Amazon it gonna have to keep improving or they will lose the huge influx of new players on console.

Yep.. when I play, thats my mobile base. I tended to spend more time at sea than at port. Its a pirates life for me! :)

Truly appreciate it! Yep, I am usually a survival game addict, but this one really snagged me hard when it came out originally... then just fissled due to lack of end game content. But from what Ive seen, the devs have taken the community feedback to heart and have spent a great deal of time making improvements. Im doing a fresh start (well.. SEVERAL fresh starts) with the OG community and we are having a blast :)

We went in with 4 tonight, but I dont remember it saying it needed 4 to start. I do know there was a Lvl 65 dude asking people to join him so he could clear the task off his list, so Im thinking its not a solo event. Maybe the mutated Expeditions are scalable, but they werent available back when I used to play, and my group hasnt gotten to them yet. If you and your dad are looking for a group to hang with.. we just pve and its a chill "older" group, come on out to the discord and let us know and we can invite you along. We all started fresh on Cimmeria.

LOL... definitely an update... and it you include the raid Id say some folks would think of it as an expansion.. but I do see your point. For OG players.. there's not much added, but a lot has changed in how the game plays. Thanks for keeping me honest :)

Glad you got something from this :) I think its definitely worth running thru a new character with.. even if you dont have the Angry Earth DLC, just to play thru the updated story. Then you can decide if its worth dropping another $30 bucks on by the time you hit end game. I hear ya on the solo play. Im actually running at least 3 characters 1 for solo, 1 to play with the group from the OG discord, and one to play with my old buddies.. when they have a chance to play.. so I dont overlevel and make things boring for them.

The server that we are currently playing as a group on is Cimmeria (sp). As for the solo run Im on Kalahari, and my old Lvl 60 character is still out there on Valhalla. If you are looking to hop in and play with the OGs, drop by the discord and let us know so we can add you to the group :) That will be Cimmeria IF we can get everyone in there :)

It IS easier to group up now, prior to the Aeternum release, from when I played at launch. There are a lot of new LFG mechanics coming in today with the update, and time will tell if the quest sharing works out. I'll be jumping in and streaming later tonight, so will try it out if I can.

You have to buy the expansion if you haven't already if you want a mount at lvl 20 and to be able to get to lvl 65

To play Aeternum, you do not HAVE to buy anything if you have the base game, at least to start out. If you decide you want a mount (available at Lvl 20) or want to play the end game content you WILL need to purchase the Angry Earth DLC in order to unlock those assets. If you are interested in trying things out, Id just log on with the base game, start a new character (you get a 4th character slot now) and give it a go. When you get a chance to play a bit, you can make the decision on if its worth spending the extra $30 USD.

True. They could have just released more content and more than 5k people would still be playing it. I gave up after 500 hours. Just couldn't give them anymore time. I will play it for a week just to experience the launch of the game again with a lot of people. Not paying for the dlc tho.

Thats what I think everyone who has the original game that did like you and I did... put in 500+ hours and ran out of content... to try it out before investing in the dlc... if ever. Lvl 20 just gets you a mount.. which isnt integral to the gameplay, I mean.. we never had them back then right? If you are gonna go over Lvl 60 though, yer gonna need the dlc, at least from what I understand. I'll be streaming shortly and tryin the whole thing out from the very beginning, but Im not wiping my Lvl 60 until I decide if I need to keep leveling him. :)

I feel ya on that. Seems like they ARE trying... but we all know the saying "Do or do not, there is no try" LOL. Im interested to see what the speed runners find at the end of the rainbow. Im more of a meander thru to see as much as I can type player. I think theres more content on the front end for 2 reasons 1) Adding console players means there will be a BUNCH of newbies out there, and AGS wants to entice as many as they can get, and 2) Since the beta only went to Lvl 30, no one has really seen any end game play. Fingers crossed, they learned their lesson with the first launch. Hope to see yall out there! :)

they have not changed anything in the endgame so if you got bored of the endgame before you will 100% get bored again

They’ve added alot to endgame over the years so depending on when you last played you’ll have alot to checkout

Unfortunately I dont think they have done much for console.. and even have left pc languishing with the last 3 seasons just being wipes and resets with no additional content or maps. I hate seeing it happen.. was a game with so much potential.. but seems Snail/Grapeshot is not good at final delivery on most games.. even Ark has struggled getting content out.. and hasnt hit a release date yet... soooo... Im afraid Atlas may go the way of so many Snail games.. like Dark & Light, Fear the Night, Outlaws of the Old West, and Last Oasis... all share the same curse.

@@OldGamerzNeverDie yeah it just doesnt make sense. they had this game as you say with so much potential and so much that they could have done. if they did it right. when it first came out people loved it on both platforms. then for silly reasons things took a complete nose dive. i mean they said they care about the game yet everything you point out is all true. well and truly confuddles the mind.

Thanks for the question. In the past you could not, but Im not sure if they changed that. In my last play thru, I made it to the point where I was getting ready to do it and the game crashed with a corrupt save (something that has plagued SP from the launch). Be sure to save your game often, especially BEFORE logging out each time.. just to make sure you have a back up to return to in case that is still broken.

Unfortunately, the answer is that Funcom completely revamped the Purge feature of the game during the Age of War, which has frustrated many players out there. Personally, with the changes during that period, the game became a mish mash of failed launches and roll backs, so I stopped playing. I wish you the best in your adventures.. it was a fun game for a very long time, and, if Funcom ever gets it fixed and makes it fun to play again, I may come back. For now, I cant really give any advice on purges as I dont know the state that they currently exist, if at all (at one point I believe I heard that they only happened when the player "summoned" them).
