Yukon Sean

An old guy in the Yukon, playing in the snow, dirt and water with his family and friends.
June 8th sledding. Avalanches, bear; remembering a lost friend.
Probably last ride of the season. Out with my little guy, Copper. Set off some little slides, saw bear tracks, said, “Hi” to a good sledding buddy and great friend gone too soon.

An awesome day with Patrick and my son, Copper. Was raining at start of the day and mostly cloudy. But we waited it out and got some great weather and riding; including Copper trying (and loving) Pat’s Catalyst.

Got out for one of the last rides of the year, with a couple friends and my youngest son. Great conditions all around.

Went to a different area in the Yukon for this video. Not great snow, but warm and sunny days allowed us to poke around some big terrain.
A surprisingly awesome Yukon April day: great new snow, sunshine and no wind

Since our riding area had good snow everywhere to keep machines cooled, went on a bit of a tour with my eldest son and a good friend. Snow got better as we went higher and we were soon in deep stuff.

A little bit of new snow sent us to our local mountain. Even though it was incredibly windy at times, we found some nice snow, and Copper rode the 800 RMK for the first time this year.

Short video of this ride - too busy riding and not filming! Had some beautiful weather with so-so snow. Led to us checking in a lot of high, hidden spots for good snow. Came across this newly formed or revealed ice bridge in a spot we don’t get too often.
Slush riding in warm weather

After two days of snow, temperatures went well above freezing to create heavy slush. For the third day in a row, went out with Pat and Mackenzie on bikes and sleds and still had a good time.

Got out into the trees with some new snow. Couple Polaris RMKs and snowbikes; bit too deep in places for the bikes, though.
Finally riding on a sunny day

Great Haines Junction ride with Ryan - he was ripping on his new-ish Polaris 850. Found some good snow, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Two Yukon rides rolled into one video. Saturday was freezing, so not much footage; was -22 Celsius, but was -2 by Sunday. Pat brought his new Catalyst out, and we had Dan on a Polaris Boost for one day. Miles of tree riding: most of it awesome; some a little tight.

The road finally opened after a two week closure; so headed out with eldest son, Jackson, for a day, before the Arctic Air floods the area. Great snow but so-so light had us riding cautiously.

Got out for what turned into a short ride after getting stuck in willows, damaging my throttle cable, and going back to truck to repair. We’ve got the path in now, though, and the days are getting longer.

Awesome !
I have ridden all over Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota and Wyoming in the last 40 years but I have never seen anything like the VAST snowfields in this video! Thank you for sharing.
i hope these guys bought tickets, because they're going to need tickets to heaven to be all the way up there
steeper then a velodrome, and maybe smoother
i think i was talking about single track
how do you like the finger throttle? and would you recommend it to beginner rider
I like it a lot. I find I can hold onto bars better, being able to grip with thumbs on both hands.
At The same time it is hard to Get used to
When you say North Yukon, how far north do you mean?
I meant my words more as, “in the North; Yukon”. Wasn’t clear. We’re in the Southwest corner of the Territory.
What a fantastic video of our awesome weekend!
So nice to see you're out doing what you love. Looks like Pat had some struggles.
Thanks, Mike!
i wish i was riding in june - Subbed!
lucky guys .
it's nice to have a couple of unwatched videos in the holster, while the extreme team is on a healing project
Floor it
Pretty sweet to be sledding in June, I think I put my sled away too early! Is this Haines Pass?
You guys need some snow bikes up there for those conditions!. First-year on a snow bike for me and I absolutely love it especially riding on top of that real hard pack and that powder. All them snowmobiles want to do is go downhill you can't really sidehill with him all that great unless you're a really good rider? Which I'm really not anymore. Some of them Young bucks make it look easy. But I guarantee they're spending a lot more calories than me. And you guys on those snowmobiles won't follow me to a lot of places. And vice a versa
Each to his own.
it et ridicuy
he needs a little bit x
scope so far , you could never see it
she knows where her place is !
ventilate 1 helmut
i heard the whistle go off, after you dropped in fast from the top checkpoint
you can trust her, that gorgeous hot sled
unreal moments w/ Dad & Son
Is this the Haines Summit?
Yep
Right on, I was wondering if there was still enough snow to ride up there. I'm in Juneau and they shut down sled access about two weeks ago. I was considering a trip to Haines to get one last ride in.
boy or backyard
wide open back yard rippin !
Great video. He did better than me.
Thanks, Mike. You did great on that snowbike!
OMG
Great video, such a beautiful spot!
Thanks, Mike! Hopefully get you up there next trip.
the Cardio is hardcore
deep in the danger zone
So what was wrong with Luc's sled?
Changed fuel type setting to non-ethanol, and relocated knock sensor - seemed to work.
Is that on the 9r
The sled I’m on, yeah.
Solo = stupid
light work if you don't get stuck under that tree
i used to do those low tight circles on the jet ski in front of army beach, until the doughnuts got too tight ! Did you know i told my Son to go to school and spell it dognuts? He's still mad at me for that !
That’s pretty funny, Ian!
beauty
Yippeee eye aye !
What a awesome video I would be in my glory there . Man your lucky to live there
Some parts looked a little tight, that would be awesome on the snowbike
I was thinking you’d like it.
where about is this? I'm in Teslin and wanna find some place close to ride
Around Haines Junction.
Is this Haines junction area? I want to go there!
Yes!
@@YukonSean how do you like living up there? Lots to keep busy with? I have a skidoo 850 and wr250r plus a tacoma I'm building out. Kinda always wanted to live up there at least for a bit. Just need to find work first. Where's the best place to live and work if you're into adventure motorsports and other outdoor stuff?
@@WhatACatchyName , lots of good up here. The conditions in this video were extraordinary and not the norm.
『p』『r』『o』『m』『o』『s』『m』 😩
