Why is the bias tape for the front not attached after the zipper is installed? Seems like it would make for a way nicer finish. Also - has anyone else tried making this dress, and found a nicer way too attach the sleeves? I don't like that they are just tacked on like that in the end, with the edges so visible, it seems kind of sloppy to mee

This pattern is not for beginners, that's for sure. There are three yoke pieces in various shapes, all of which indicate that you need to cut four of each piece. It does not say that two of the four need to be a mirror. So, I wasted quite a bit of fabric cutting out half of the yoke pieces incorrectly. All that is required are a few extra words on each of the yoke pieces indicating what is required.
