Welcome to my channel. My name is Michael and am retired from full time work.
Today, I predominantly photograph Night and Landscapes. I had photographed Motorsport (offroad racing in Queensland) however I no longer actively photograph these events.
The channel was started in 2021 to store my videos & timelapes but has sadly been neglected for the past two years.
I don't actively promote my channel, with the exception of a Subscribe & Like button in the videos.
All photography gear I buy, so there'll be no product reviews. If something is useful, I might mention what it is & what it does but no reviews.
It's a 'rough around the edges' type channel as I'm a photographer, not a videographer. I will try to video document some of my more unusual photography trips & hopefully make them interesting, including adding some humour.

Kennedy Space Centre Tour August 2025
We visited and toured the Kennedy Space Centre in August 2025.
It was an absolutely amazing experience, I didn't think it would be that good. Loved every second we spent there.
Unfortunately I had to condense a 9 hour visit down to about 13 minutes.
There was so much to see but so little time as a bonus we experienced a Space X launch to deliver more Starlink satellites into orbit. I'm not a fan of these satellites, being an Nightscape photographer they ruin the night sky, but to see and feel a rocket launch is something to experience.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I had filming and editing it.

This is a 360 degree video of roadworks and cliff stabilisation on Cunningham Highway leading to the Cunninghamss Gap, Queensland. Stop/go traffic lights are operating although I was not delayed becuase of the lights stopping ascending traffic. Nikon Z50 Day 2 Night Final Timelapse of the setting Milkyway for 2023. The Z50 was mounted on a @MIOPS 360 capsule in order to create movement. I bought a new 3 Footed Monster magnetic mount for my car. I'll be using it for external car video. The test was using an Insta360 with the 4k boost lense (only) attached to 3FM mount. Nikon Z50 Timelapse of the Milky Way setting in the western sky. Shot at Ballandean, with the silhouette of the Ballandean Pyramid in the foreground. Shot using my Nikon Z50 fitted with a Nisi 9mm lense, using a Miops 360 Capsule rotator. Sudden movement at the end was from incorrect setting entered into the rotator.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) perform multiple practice fly pasts the day before the Brisbane Riverfire as part of the month long Brisbane Festival. This practice was carried out on Friday 1 September 2023. All Photos and videos were taken from the Kangaroo Point cliffs, Brisbane. Enjoy!

Boeing capsule 😬 bit of a worry with them at the moment Great video! It's on my bucket list!
Could be their backup capsule at the Centre. Bezos Blue Origin is in the video, but Boeings Starliner capsule was there as well, just not shown in the video.

The timelapse came out very nicely 🤘 I know that it's always a bit of a gamble, especially at night. The Z50 seems to have decent low-light capabilities, do you recall what settings you used for the timelapse? I envy you for the beautiful skies you got down there, light pollution makes things difficult in europe😵 Keep it up - Cheers from Germany🍻
Thanks for encouraging comments, appreciate it. I love the Z50 for timelapse & yes it is good for low light condition. I've paired it with the Nisi 9mm 2.8 lense (14mm) For the day to night I always let the camera make the decisions so I put it into 'P' (program mode) on the Z50. That works well most of the time. ISO auto, starting around 200 and max sensitivity 3200, on the odd occassion 6400. I take a single exposure image first to get the minimum shutter speed. I hope this helps. Mick

Is this the "Pro" or "Standard" Variant?
Pro version mate. Probably overkill for a small action camera but I'll be using it with my DSLR camera as well.

Thanks. The Z50 is a great little camera. Timelapse aren't hard to do, just time consuming.
