Update on Us and New Product GrubTerra!
Sweet goat, it is because of you. Thank you.
Thank you!
❤❤
I only get about 3.5 cups in the morning from my toggenburg. Hopefully her kid will produce more next year.
how many litres?
Is the caramel so soft because it wasn't completely set or because it's always that soft when you cook to 270?
It’s softer in comparison to store bought but it is still able to be wrapped in wax paper and is chewy.
You have the food and water right, you need to tie it between the two
Great video ❣️
Thank you!!
11:45 I dont get it....why dont you overpower the calf until it settles down? Once calm you give it some slack, it it fights again then repeat until it remains calm on the slack. I mean you're a big guy, wouldn't take much effort to overpower the calf.
I was thinking about how I wanna play wrestle with the little guy 😂😂❤
Good information, glad to be seeing your videos again ❤️❤️
Thank you! It’s been pretty busy around here trying to keep up with everything else life has thrown our way, but we will try to get more videos out when we can.
Have you tried the probe for cattle yet? Would very much appreciate your experience with that.
We have not tried the probe for cattle yet.
How many times did you have to sharpen your chisels during this process?
I was able to get done without having to sharpen them. I was using older Craftsman tools that hold a good edge.
Hot chocolate-2 Sky-2 Tulip-1
Thanks for guessing!
Tulip 1 Hot Chocolate 1 Sky 2
Hopefully no singles this year but we’ll see. Your guess last year were really good.
I think 6 all together
That’s how many they had last year. Hott Chocolate had 3, Tulip had 2, and Sky had 1.
Hope your surgery went well.
Thank you! Unfortunately it didn’t give the amount of pain relief that we had hoped for.
@@GivenChancesFarm 🙏🏻
Thank you! God has a plan for me, and it will happen on his timeline.
They produce great products @Given Chances Farm. Living the dream as small family farm.
Thank you for the kind words. We are trying to do what we can with what we can.
We have horses, goats, pigs, and chickens so in what order should we rotate them and in what order?
It would depend on the area that you are rotating them to, the type of forage available, size of area, how many of each animal, and breed of pigs. Chickens would be used last to help scratching through the manure which will help it break down faster and also reduce the pest load. I would recommend the book Dirt to Soil by Gabe Brown.
Chargeable?
Yes it is.
How many of those you think I can put on 10 acres?
There are a lot of variables that would change how many per acre. Under the right conditions 2 cow/ calves per acre.
If you supplement them with some cake or feed you could maybe get more than 20’on 10 acres. Depends on the area and rain fall and if you give ‘em hay. I would. Say 20 but probably 12 to 15 with minimal supplements. Could get costly if you get to many. Better safe than sorry.
Praying Big Man! Hoping for the best
Thank you!
Praying for you brother.
Thanks brother.
Hoping for the best!!
Thank you!
Sending prayers for relief of pain 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!
Great video and I love toggs
Thank you! We love our Toggs they have been a great addition here.
Very interesting ❣️
Thank you!
Super cool tool Y’all
Thank you! We are excited to put it to use, so that we get more proficient with it.
That was really awesome ❤
Thank you!
That is so cool@
Thank you! It will definitely take some practice, but it’s exciting to be able to see.
Hope all goes well with you I just found you again yes I sure missed you
Thank you! We are taking things day by day. The surgery didn’t take care of the pain, so now we are waiting to see what is next. We miss making videos and look forward to being able to get back to it again.
They are actually Australian Lowlines
They are Aberdeen cattle that was sent to a research center in Australia. Here in the US they are American Aberdeen.
How did the surgery go ???
His surgery went well. Now he’s dealing with the recovery from the surgery. He says it shows you real quick how often that area of your body is used. Even getting in and out of bed takes more thought to try to reduce the pain. Dr said that it could take up to 3 months to know if the surgery works.
Can we see some showing tips for bucket bottle calf’s
We can give some showing tips on calves, but we don’t raise any bucket bottle calves. Biggest thing is to make each interaction with the calf a positive one.
It’s all in Gods hands right now . Praying this will all be over soon 🙏🙏 Love this family sooo much ❤️❤️
Thank you!
Hang in there Tony!! Prayers for you and your wonderful family and great friends!! ❤
Thank you Leann!
Not too good at it
She is good at getting loose just not in video was she caught getting the job done. The pin slows her down some. If the pin wasn’t in she could ope the door and start running all over barn.
Wow, they are really going at it
We used to have swarms coming through here all the time. Now I think it's just "kept" bees that visit us.
Could be multiple reasons for the visits. Still nice to be able to see them and how they adapt to different situations.
Wow ❣️
They were pretty loud. Watched them for a little bit.
Hey thanks for the vid! We are about to dry up our Lamancha x Nigerian after over a year on her 2F. She gave us a gallon a day for the first 7 months now she is at about 6cups per milking twice a day. We use fight bac too have you ever bought the big bottles of clorhex. and tried to make your own?
We have not tried to make our own yet. We are getting ready to start weaning soon and will be milking 3 twice a day. We just purchased some supplies to make cheese. We will be building a cheese press and trying to use some of the milk to make some cheese.
Go girl
Move to Cozumel, Mexico, to get warm! That's what we did.🌺
Never been there. We have seen photos but that’s all. The farthest South we have talked about moving so far is Tennessee.
So much easier to tie her to a post and let the post do the work. Once she has learnt that the halter won't give, it makes it easier for the human handler
There are multiple ways to get animals uses to the halter. Some methods are more stressful than others. A person has to decide to use the methods that they are comfortable with and that will produce the end results that they are looking for. This methods works well for us, so that is why we do it this way.
Congratulations on the new calf. Good luck with everything.
Thank you!
Wow ❣️❣️❣️
Thank you!
Looking good!!
Thank you!
Those look delicious!
Thank you! We had never had them before, but they turned out really good.
That’s awesome 🤣😂
Thank you! They seem to like it. Even in it this morning while it’s snowing.
3, 2, 2
Good guessing. We’ll have to wait and see.
Arugula is something I haven't tried growing yet. I'll have to start some probably this fall (in AZ)
Good luck! We will grow more later in the fall.
They have remarkably good behavior!
Thank you!
Is this the first time for goat chops ?
Yes. The way we cooked them they tasted similar to deer steaks. We made a marinade with olive oil, garlic cloves, onion, oregano, salt, and pepper in food processor. Put chops in a big bowl poured the marinade over the chops. Refrigerated for about 3 hours. Placed on the smoker at 250 until internal temp of 145.
