Delayed in American's First Class | Airbus A320 | Tampa to Philadelphia
This is a trip report on American Airlines's Airbus A320 in their domestic first class, with a maintenance delay. This report was filmed in the summer of 2020. After boarding, the captain explained that the auxiliary power unit had failed, causing the air conditioning run poorly and the cabin temperature to rise. The heat caused us to get off the plane, and re-board once everything was in order. This particular aircraft has retrofitted power outlets for each passenger, and is fairly updated. Despite the delay, the flight itself was pleasant.

Просмотров 4,8 тыс.3 года назад
This is a trip report filmed back in 2019 onboard an American Eagle Embraer ERJ-145 flight to Buffalo from Philadelphia. The flight was operated by Piedmont, a wholly-owned regional airline of American Airlines. The ERJ-145 is a fairly comfortable 50 seat jet compared to the CRJ-200. It offers a longer cabin, and single seats on the left of the cabin. On this particular flight, small snacks and...

Many airlines have adopted unique policies during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep their crew and passengers safe onboard. On this trip report, we show American Airlines's onboard experience during this unique time, on a flight from Tampa to Philadelphia. American Airlines replaced onboard service with a small snack bag distributed to passenger seats before boarding. This reduces passenger-crew in...

A quick 2 hour flight in American's First Class with a breakfast service included, flying from Tampa to Philadelphia. The first class flight attendant was great and very attentive to all passengers during the flight...
One LAST FLIGHT on American's B757 Before RETIREMENT | Tampa to Philadelphia

American Airlines has made a series of significant changes to their fleet due to the pandemic. Of the many planes that AA retired, among them is the Boeing 757. The 757 has much history at American, operating for both legacy US Airways and legacy American Airlines before the merger. The 757 was an integral aircraft, offering flexibility between domestic and long-haul transatlantic flights. This...

Additionally, this flight has a late departure time, and therefore, no meal was offered for first class passengers. The typical pre-...

The CRJ-200 has been named by passengers as one of the worst commercial jets to fly on. Air Wisconsin recently made a deal with United to start flying their CRJ-200 regional jets for United Express, after their leaving from American Eagle. 0:53 that railing on the upper left-hand corner, is the railing for the bridge that carries the Mount Vernon Bike Trail. At closest, if you stood there, you would be standing just 350 feet away from these active jetliners! 1:44 this is because the CRJ-200 is literally nothing more than a stretched business jet airframe (presumably with some minor modifications for airline usage), so the window placement was designed for the sort of seating a business jet would use. 2:51 I hardly imagine the average passenger enjoyed it, but, as an aircraft spotter, I absolutely LOVE it when that happens, you can stand on the side of the aforementioned bike trail, right at the fence, and, at closest, be standing just 150 feet away from the aircraft - close enough to smell the exhaust and even feel the breeze from the turbofans' thrust when applying power! 😀😀😀

    The CRJ-200 is without a doubt the most cramped, miserable, claustrophobic, uncomfortable aircraft I've ever flown in and I got my ppl in a Cessna 150. I avoid them and the RJ-145 like the plague. However, they do serve a great service of connecting smaller communities to hub airports that otherwise would not have service. For a flight of under an hour it's tolerable.

      Sixfoursoul, I don't know YOUR friend, but most of the people I know who work on cars, trucks, aircraft, industrial equipment, etc; have a tendency to call almost everything they have to work on "pieces of shit". Unless your friend qualifies that statement with some concrete examples of why the CRJ is so awful (and does he mean to work on, or to be the pilot of, or does he mean safety?), then his comment is just meaningless.

      Some of them, If I recall correctly, US Air’s didn’t have them, but Cont-Nited’s did. With mergers and reassignments, I believe that the now American jets don’t have them, but United, and Delta’s do. Of course depending on exactly who is operating the flight. Commutair has them both ways, since some are former US Air, but now flies for United.

      The CRJ's I have been on have leading edge slats and the usual flaps in the rear. How do YOU define "high lift devices"?

    • @lesturner9849
      @lesturner9849 2 года назад

      @@youtuuba High lift devices includes any section of the wing that when deployed generates additional lift. From my understanding the RJ 200 has no such components. I could be wrong though.

    • @StubblefieldMatt
      @StubblefieldMatt 2 года назад

      The 200 has no slats, but the 7 and 9 do. Also, the takeoff roll will be as long as possible on purpose. Using a lower power setting on takeoff is "nicer" to the engines in the long run.
