This video has some of the best footage ever taken at SPTW during a hunt. It was early October, and we had several inches fall during the hunt! We also had a surprise encounter with a young fox. And in the end we harvested a beautiful two year old buck that scored 162"!

It is funny. When I was a kid probably around 8 I was camping with my family and one night I went out of the tent to pee and I saw a deer near our lantern that must have just started shedding its velvet. To me it looked like the buck was covered in blood with flesh hanging from its antlers like it just killed something. Utterly demonic looking in the dark. Of course at that age I was terrified and ran into the tent yelling about what I saw and no one believed me. They just thought it was the imagination of a kid seeing monsters in the dark. My parents apparently didn't know that deer did this so as an adult I sent them a link about this so I could finally say, "See I told you!! I did see a dear with antlers that had flesh hanging from it!" After many years the 8 year old kid in me finally got some freaking vindication.
