Why Do I Have Glue In My Hair? Building the Estes Saturn 1B For Both Newbies And Pros
This is THE Jim Barrowman! What a legend in rocketry.
The zipperless coupler and single-tube avionics mounting are super cool solutions to make a more robust rocket. I'm looking forwards to building some rockets with those techniques!
Did you prime? Quality?
Fantastic! Finally someone made a video on how it should be done. Bravo!
Best instructional video ever, doesn't bla bla bla, great voice and recording. Thank you
Great presentation. I learned and relearned a few things.
Great build awesome attention to the details. How did it launch?😊
sounds starts at1:16
Be nice to have a recording without the drop outs.
The legend himself!
Awesome build,How many Tamiya spray cans of primer and white did it require ?
Beautiful build. I’m just getting back in the hobby after 45 years and have a Saturn 1B and want to do it right. Love the pointers. Seems the Tamiya paint is preferred. And another reason to get a little air sprayer. Guess next step is to join NRA. Don’t recall if I did in late 70s. Never too late 👍
Thanks for the presentation Gary! Very informative. Hamsterdance sounds like fun!
Thanks Tim and the NAR for this presentation!
This was a spectacular KEYNOTE!! Many thanks and congratulations to the team that prepared and presented this presentation!! Five thumbs up!! I am very glad to hear the direction of Estes today and moving forward. This was extremely upfront and informative. It feels like the Estes of the early 70s! On the edge of greatness once again!! Please share this video with others, like, and subscribe. Comments are always great to read what other's thoughts are!
Thanks so much!
Thanks so very much!
Great build video. Very entertaining as well!
How did these rockets actually perform at mach 1-2+?
Very educational, thank you!
Doing way to much for a cert flight. Simple and easy first.
That's been my approach. Get the cert so you can buy the motors. Then experiment.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I built two Saturn V kits. Your tips would have been very helpful. Excellent models.
where can i find the pdf?
Where did you get that great multimasking tape dispenser.
How about making Estes an employee owned company? As I understand the concept it would become very difficult to sell the company. That would be a huge barrier to entities that are only interested in money and don't have a problem in destroying the business when it suits them.
That Estes Big Red max is gonna be cool.....still holding out hope for an Estes Mercury Atlas
