The sounds of my childhood. I always enjoyed the sound of that water pump. When it went from wash to rinse that heavy transmission clunk. Also, just after filling and starting the agitate cycle. It had a unique sound to it too. We had one of these that lasted us over 25 years.

Love this washer and wish I could find one for sale. My parents bought this washer and the matching dryer with the hang dry cabinet when I was like 4 years old. Lasted about 8 years before we replaced the bearings and then 2 years later the clutch was shot to hell. They didn’t want to keep putting money into it so we got an Electrolux wave touch set. The dryer at the same time started shredding our clothes, bad felt seal so they junked that too. In hindsight I wish I would have kept them. In 2016 I bought a set of Neptune front load 7500 touch screen with bad bearings. That’s been going strong ever since and it’s the garage set, used mostly for pet bedding. I think they should revitalize this style for new top loaders. They all now use the same style wash plate and they don’t work very well.

That's great you got to experience that! The Blue Angels are amazing! I've only seen them on You Tube and can't believe what I'm watching. I've seen and heard the Thunderbirds though, in flyovers here in NYC, and it's such an extraordinary feeling! I love and respect them both so much. Edited to add The Blue Angels actually did a flyover WITH The Thunderbirds during Covid for health care workers & first responders but I was working and didn't get to see them, but it was very exciting for everyone anyway💯% 😊!
