Some owner-operators in US drive classic trucks with no limiters at 80mph and that's how you can end up having 4 mpg. 3 mpg or lower is crazy low, how you can even earn decent money when so much goes for fuel?

I received an 83 out of 99. This score is one of the highest ASVAB scores in the school I went to at the time. I qualified for every job in the military, from pilot, special forces, to nuclear engineer. Why do I drive truck? I spent my entire life around them. My family consists of truck drivers. It's a family affair. So that fat and stupid shit is null and void. I'm actually very smart and athletic. I'm sure you are too. Just don't jump to conclusions all the time.

if you think american trucks are guzzlers.... haha, the average semi tractor has an engine displacement of 13,000 cc. Meaning, on the highway you'll get 3 mpg at best [60-70 litres per 100 km] whether its a European or American truck. It goes down to 0.8-1.2 mpg during uphill heavy hauling. So dont think the paradigm of a "fuel-efficient" truck exists.

Well..it's certainly 'RETRO' and something very very rare to see in Europe. This looks like a dinosaur compared to the other trucks on the road. I guess if all you want is to seek attention and be noticed then by all means get a 1950's diesel guzzler like this - but it holds no attraction whatsoever for me. I'll be staying with my Scania with no regrets. Time warp trucking.
