3rd ride on this little ripper and it is PHENOMENAL. Full review and first impressions coming soon. As always a massive thank you to Electric Bikes Plus and the team at Norco New Zealand for hooking this up. In short this thing just loves to play. It feels like a standard poppy trail/light enduro non electric mountain bike with a little Norco secret sauce sprinkled on top. It just wants to go f...

Full review coming soon. Enjoy some raw footage on my local trail. As always, a MEGA thank you to Electric Bikes Plus for sponsoring this bike to me, and Trek New Zealand for hooking this up. Some quick thoughts, this thing is very well balanced. Its nice to be back to a full 29" setup, especially as braking bumps start to rear their heads as the riding season comes into full swing. The spec on...

One of the sweetest bikes to land in New Zealand in late 2023/Early 2024. There's no debate, this thing looks mean, and it rides like it to. Of all the demo bikes I've had the pleasure of testing this last year, this takes the cake for being one of the plushest. Very confidence inspiring in almost every scenario. The bike makes good use of a mixed wheel size. The slack 29" front wheel tracks re...

A quick little blat down one of the local favorite's - Foo Fighter. This is a grade 3 to 4 trail with optional jumps and drops makes for a great warmup before dropping into alternate tracks, most of which start at the bottom of this trail. Enjoy! The Kapiti coasts Whareroa Farm is home to two brilliant mountain bike trails, Cashflow and Red Tape, catered to various levels of riders. To enter the trails, follow the link track all the way up the hill to Campbell Mills Road and continue climbing until you arrive at the well marked entrance to Cashflow (Or bathtub as some call it). Cashflow is marked as an Intermediate Grade 3 Trail. There ...
Nice video, great trails. I have 9.7 Rail, moreless in stock specs, but it is superb ebike.
I had gen 5 Slash 9.8 and i also gen 4 Rail 9.8 GX axs in lava red. What a eyecandy of a bike it is and such an fun experience of a bike. The amount of people who on street commented on the bikes looks is of the chart. Its hype.:D It can do literally everything. The smoothness is great and it has to be the most balanced bike i have ever ridden. Its also very different feel. The body position is incredible, you dont get tired. Overall the an absolute gem. I got mine on sale for 6500 dollar in XL. Done couple of upgrades like. ENVE M7 40 mm rise bar which improved the quality of the feel. Changed code r brakes with 4v4. My plan is to change gx axs to Sram XX trasmission and get carbon wheels. I didt like gx axs on this bike. Also about the jumps. Dont worry it can handle big jumps. Im 6.8 100kg annd done quite a few big jumps. Its not as smooth landing as on Slash or DH bike, but it certainly can handle some big stuff. However i I have superdeluxe ultimate thrushaft on my slash which is very good shock and couil on my dh bike. Its apples and oranges. However what rail does the other bikes cant do even close.
nice vid
Watched it front to back man, so good!
Hi there can you tell me what the name and make of the water bottle and cage you're using? I have the same bike and my bottle keeps scraping against the Piggyback
@@Cpt_McPopeye I ended up removing that cage as I had the same issue and opted for a smaller Fidlock bottle and mount + a hip pack reservoir 😁
@@Oliver-EBPlus got any problems with the Fidlock bottle so far? what size are you using?
@@Cpt_McPopeye It’s worked great and is super solid on the bike. I can’t recall off the top of my head but it was one of the smaller size one to allow for clearance of course
@@Oliver-EBPlus yeah i think i'll go the same way. Kinda underestimated the space in the Frame to fit a bottle. Thanks for the reply
Amazing video 👏👏 you’re a wiz on that hill! Great informative video Oliver !
Nice video👌 I like my Prowler and in my case i bought it for light enduro and trail but visiting bikeparks and DH track more now than before.
Nice one! Really is the rig to do it all 😄
what is the max speed?
😄😄
I have changed for this bike 3 months ago (from a Lapierre overvolt) and I love this bike (game 7 for me). Climbing capacity is creasy and I am much more confident going down hill. Masses are well balanced which give real pleasure for the jumps. The bike is handy, I can manage hairpin turns I couldn't in the past. I took the L size ans not the XL despite my size 1m92 which is ok but the saddle stem was changed for a 190mm as the original one was too short. Few negative points exepct the original rear shock that I changed for the float X also proposed by Moustache. Can't wait to be on week-end to ride it😉
pretty weird looking frame and shock
Epic video dude 😄
Good run
