CBC x CEE - What Does CEE Actually Do for the Black Community?
❤ no words
I'm one of the multitude whomst was unsure about what the UN does. 🤔 But after learning about the UN teetering with Canada's seat in the front row, and seeing Canadian pro-black programs, laws, and initiatives in my 'daily anti-black' searches over and over and over again I seem to have stumbled upon one thing that they do. 🫢 🚶🏿
PSA, after being a former intern who worked under him and his abusive, condescending, and toxic influence in the work culture and community, I do not recognize Naph as an influential community leader in our film industry. After leaving my internship, I became traumatized and my career as a promising content creator and film crew went downhill affected my mental health and courage to continue and working in the film industry as if my career got ruined by one man filled with hubris in a former organization and forgotten to put his community and team first over himself. He is insensitive, ruthless, inconsiderate, unempathetic, and truly does not care about you and your effort in a team. Most of all, Naph lacks accountability, teamwork, and empathy as a real leader of a film industry. His man only cares about his own accolades, superior skill, and "creative genius" superiority over others because he thinks he's that "good," but lacks humility and teamwork skills. And there was one point he tried to make me work in an uncomfortable toxic cubicle set-up and he was among those responsible for sabotaging my work by giving me a faulty hard drive that didn't work and I had to recover the files. At one point, I respected his work and talent for his editing skills and knowledge of film production, but his demeaning attitude overshadowed his success and my respect to his career and as a human being overall was lost after he decided to throw it all away. At some point after leaving POV, I sensed a lost of film and media passion in him and therefore may have left and chose a different role in the film industry. Naph was cocky to think it was an easy task to recover the faulty hard drive, but it turns out he set me up for failure, and despite solving the problem in the best of my abilities, at least I took accountability and still gave it my all to finish my project in a timely manner. In my last weeks of my internship, Naph became inexistent and did not bother showing up for work as a creative director in his former job at POV films, and I did not even notice Naph really connect much with his community through his tenure even with the pandemic. As a POV alumni, I understand POV film is not perfect but it has been quite concerning to think that some conflict may have happened behind the scenes in the higher leadership level. In terms of Naph's team and leadership and especially being an intern and an alumni of the POV film witnessing what it was like working there, I was also concerned about its workplace culture led by him and the attitudes coming out of certain leaders in the team that felt condescending, rude, and immature, and it felt status and superiority mattered over teamwork and positive workplace culture. Plus, I did give them a feedback to have some balance and fun at work, but I cannot believe Naph did not understand that and I stand corrected because I felt the team did not enjoy their work, and they were too focused on work that did not produce well and just lost their way. To perform at your best, both fun and work have to co-exist to create a great performance and at times workplace culture and executive leadership from the top level is a huge factor on this too. Esp working in a team setting. I felt in Naph's tenure as a team and culture leader, workplace culture became toxic, and all those work, dedication, and effort that the team has done felt it was all stripped away. Regardless if this comment stays or not, I felt the need to let this out because his actions affected my well-being and career as of today, and I hope to recover from the pain after working under Naph. For Naph, my apologies if you read this, but learn to listen to constructive feedback from the team regardless of level and your community. I do not mind having a conversation with you. If you really are a credible leader you say you are, it would have been best to talk to me and listen to what I have to say than run away after what you have done.
Ultimately, I do wish Naph the best and I hope he only gets better from his career and well-being as I am also trying to recover my life, mental health, and career myself and find prosperity once again to achieve my dreams despite a traumatic internship experience working for him.
wow this just changed my perspective on everything. Thankyou

My Dad’s from the Caribbean ( Guyana - not quite the Caribbean ) whenever he listens to folks criticizing Canada or the US - he always ask them ‘ so your bags are packed , right? ‘ you hate the country? Your bags must be packed to head back home ? ‘ . They always look at him like if he is from outer space.
I really enjoy this. Ty
If you want to experience Canada for what it is you need to step outside of the fast-food restaurant and get out of the city no city in Canada represents the country considering that it's full of people that don't want to live here
Exactly Chinada
Go back home. It’s where you belong
Time waster that what you guys are!!!
I lost 20 points from my iq listening to this nonsense
These Africans dont act Canadian. They even say they are Jamaicans. They talk and act Jamaican and call jamaica their home.
Go back
Canada is turning into a authoritarian nightmare shithole I’m thinking it’s about time to leave if any of you value human rights you might consider the same
Let’s connect and do collabo about life in Canada 🇨🇦
First generation Canadians are more "Jamaican " in mannerisms than 2nd generation. Sometimes you can confuse first generation Canadians for authentic born and raised Jamaicans because first generation Canadians have the accent of their immigrant parents, and their toughness. I seen this first hand. First generation Canadians will probably have to carry or inherit the responsibility of maintaining their Jamaican culture as well as infusing it with so called Canadian multiculturalism. But, you definitely will see a first generation Canadian embrace their Jamaican heritage way more than a 2nd generation. That's real talk🤷🏿♂️😂😂😂👍🏾
Miss the dukono.
Tinned ackee is good enough. The taste comes from the level of skill in chemistry.
Feel sorry for anyone who was escaping a communist regime.. Canada isn’t what it once was.
Yes indeed we are Socialists now! Thanks Trudeau
Quiznak! Oh don’t you worry my friend another term with Trudeau and we’ll be there 😃. Well... not me, im moving to a Nordic country where the govt isn’t a complete joke, not funding this garbage with my taxes now that would be a joke.
@Quiznak! it's not
Thank u for saying that. Canada is turning communist...corruption for elites and enforcement and censorship for the masses...Chinada..
This is bullshit . My ancestors built this place for you guys to disrespect this country
It's true, I've learn a lot while being here; I've become knowledgeable and educated, but canada still a dump.
really RJ in what way
@@annbalgobin369 Yes, most management in canada are here to harm and harass people, and one in five canadians works as a group against minorities. The case of julie paillete is just the one that has been in the media, but there are thousands secretly killing the minorities. When asked, my White lawyer told me that every industry is doing that. Now, who are you to tell me otherwise?
Go back
“FaZe Dee” i wonder how old you are 😐
Holler at your boy tell me about it I agree they need to go back being a black Canadian I think a lot of these Caribbean Ruined their own countries should definitely go back instead of complaining on government money in our country
