These guys knew how to make a hit. They dominated dance pop in the 80s and early 90s and pretty much created the sound and style of that time. Music wouldn't be what it is today if not for them.

"Showing Out" was the more standout and charismatic single to me. It should've been #1, "Respectable" isn't bad, though.

Yeah I totally agree with your point about NOW releasing far too many albums for their 40th anniversary, it was just pure greed by them in my opinion, all the numbered NOWS and Yearbooks are must haves in my opinion, and I do own some of the spin-off albums as well though certainly not all of them :)

You now have to pay extra for the booklet essentially that always used to be included, I got it though, can't wait to see some of the more obscure ones that get put on Yearbook 1993 Extra.

Yes, can't buy everything from Now though the Now Country sounds good. I just hope they continue the Now 1972, 1975, 1976 etc as well as extras and vaults. Perhaps a Now that is obscure disco ? A 4 boxset of totally obscure disco and I would buy it in an instant.

I bought the special edition yesterday, but the first CD was scratched and I was worried the songs wouldn't play properly after burning them to my PC. But I was lucky that they were okay, however. 😅

I am giving this a miss, as I am surprised that Dreams by Gabrielle is not on CD1or LP1/2 and cannot stand the songs What Is Love and The Key, The Secret. You are right in its being varied in terms of music, and in some cases what would come in the years after 1993. Young At Heart and Living On My Own were released in the mid 1980s, both became hits in the 1990s. Living On My Own was possibly taking advantage of the Dance Music era in the 1990s, while Young At Heart was used in an advert for the Volkswagen Golf and became a UK Number One, seven years after they originally broke up. Might look at the yearbooks and extras from 1994 to 1997, and maybe for those years have separate complications of pop/dance/middle of the road music and then ones closer to the Shine Compilations that were released in the 1990s of what was close to what became known as Britpop and associated artists.

Ithought a fewof thesesongs were either earlier or later in the 90s....."Two princes". I thought was massive in 91.......
