      In the beginning , I did have some props to get me going, however, initial budget was around $500 for the wood and landscape fabric to create the first "version" or the haunt, then I would buy additional items each year to add on.

    Hi just discovered your channel and I plan to make a haunted maze too soon, did you have any issues with rain at all?

    • @davidboichyn3596
      @davidboichyn3596 Год назад

      I purchased a 30' x 50' tarp and covered it. Usually just screw the edges of the tarp into the top of the panels and put 2 10' poles inside to give it a pitch. That kept the rain out. But I did have pooling in certain areas during heavy rains so I had to check it often.

    Looks really good 👍 I build one.. we use a 6mx9m tent and a 6x6m tent, the entrance is a facade I made out of pallets and 2x4s, that then goes on the front of the 6x6 tent, then we have a 3mx6m room/ corridor where we give instructions tell a bit of a storyline after they go into the 6x9m tent split into many corridors and rooms which is made out of black plastic and pcv pipes, although new for this year is a 600mm x 6ft drop panel at the end of one corridor, smoke Machines and lighting is in another backstage room in the maze so it’s pretty fun I do suggest for you to build a drop panel, I built mine so compact you can store it very easy

    I like the concept, and it looks like a fairly sturdy set-up. I'm curious if you had any issues with trick-or-treaters tripping on the grass, or getting their costumes caught in the (relatively) narrow aisles? If so, how did you mitigate that?

    • @davidboichyn3596
      @davidboichyn3596 2 года назад

      It's very sturdy once the supports for walls and corners are in place. As for the grass, or costumes getting caught, we have been fortunate not to have had any incidents like that. We do also have a sign at the entrance that states 'Enter at your own risk, strobe lights and fog in use, uneven ground, things like that. Hope this answers your questions

    Hey, nice DIY haunt. I was wondering if you had any trouble with people running into the walls when they got scared, and how the walls held up. I did a few pallets in mine, but I've gone to using a lot of old interior house doors. People toss them constantly, so its free material and already built. I lay them in my garage rafters afterwards and use it as storage space for my cemetery. But, I'd like to expand the entrance down thr driveway and something like you have may be a good option. I'd just need to find a good way to hold in place without staking through my blacktop!

    • @davidboichyn3596
      @davidboichyn3596 3 года назад

      Thank you subscribing, and your comment. The walls held up great, and didn't really have anyone run into them. I do secure them very well with cross bracing, and every other panel has a steak deep in the ground, and screwed to the panel frame. Unless you can figure out a way to anchor the panels to the ground, or in your case, the driveway, it might not be the best way to go.
