there is a trick with the jet not many people know. as you can see, the jet button says "start" and not "stop", but its still activated. it says "start" not when you press it, but when you hold it and not release. while holding down this button, the jet is seemingly 1.5 times as powerful, but also consumes 1.5 times the energy. as soon as you release the button, it goes back to normal and cant be held again. hope this helps

fun fact: i didnt know this for a while and found it by accident. before i found it, my comet wr was 2m 58.4s, and after i found it, i improved it all the way to 2m 09.2s, almost by a whole minute. this is just how powerful this trick is

@@trentcard i forgot to tell you two things: that green frame is the reason why this launch is possible in the first place. its impossible to get a good launch without dying if there is no frame behind you. it doesnt matter what frame you use. you can see that i waited for a bit at the start of the run. there is a reason for that. there are 4 planets in rovercraft with moving obstacles: pandora, polaris, steamcraft and comet. obstacles on those planets start moving not when you start playing, but when you enter the garage. therefore, you can wait in the garage for a certain amount of time for the obstacles to align in the most optimal speedrun path. when you reset the run, the moving obstacles are reset too. the best start delay for polaris is 9 seconds, when the 300m loop blocks are at their lowest to make the successful launch angle as wide as possible. hope this helps too, its quite important

damn, didnt expect you here i discovered level 1 and 4 routes after looking in the editor and seeing that the finish hitbox is slightly lower than where the finish visually is, which means you can finish the level by being squished between your shadow and the finish hitbox from below. its slightly different in level 1, where you have to time your jump and be in the finish hitbox the moment it toggles on. you might want to make the finish hitbox more aligned to the visual finish in your future sequel. also, to prevent jumping into finish like in level 2, you can simply place some blocks above the finish in the next level, so that the jump wont do anything. another thing that might be problematic is blocks toggling on while youre in them. when that happens, you get teleported to the next left spot without blocks, so you can possibly skip something like that. thats all advice I have for the sequel. thank you for making Generations

​@@cybercor3 i made the hitbox lower so that you actually have to step on the block (or almost at least) in order to get to the next room, i honestly didnt think it could lead to any skips like that lol, i find it pretty cool though, i dont mind. getting out of bounds by being in a block that turns solid is one of the not so many skips that i actually discovered myself while building the level and i also left that one in intentionally, cause i thought that maybe it could allow for some interesting tricks. so instead of killing the player, in the editor you can see i placed teleport portals around the box which are there specifically to get you back inside if you do this. unfortunately i dont think its useful in any way

@@OnlyTryingRUclips you can scale the finish hitbox in only one direction to make it shorter vertically, but keep the horizontal length

also, if you hold(not tap, hold) the jet button, it will accelerate you faster, but will also consume 50% more of your energy. that helps a lot with the speed on comet.
