Thanks! It was so helpful
I’m almost finished with my personal letter form applying for Biology internship program, would you mind if I share the link with you privately , and take your guidance upon it? deadline is in 3 days but I want to submit it b4 that. Thanks a lot I also want to mention I haven’t emailed any of the mentors because I found about the application late, so I can’t wait for their reply.
Oh no. Did I miss the deadline? I'm more than willing to read it on Monday 2/3. Email: info@kimberlymgardner.com
@ oh I have already submitted, but i still would love to hear your feedback , I will email it to you now , thanks!
Hi I got invited to the Humanities & Social Sciences Scholars Program (H3SP). I am asking what SAT scores is the minimum of the type of students who get in
Hi! That's amazing. Congratulations! I'm not sure what the rec is. I had a 1430/1600 when I applied. I recommend focusing on the career goals you have for yourself and how the program can help you achieve them.
@ thanks so much for your insight !!! This video was also really helpful
Wow this was truly amazing. A lot of information that you sometimes don't think of. Hope you have continued success on your journey. Will check out more of your video's.
Thank you so much!
What kind of math is on the exam?
All math up to pre-calculus
Well done Kimberly! can you show us your presentation?
Nice video!! I will subscribe to your channel!!
got accepted into my first one today, this video is super helpful! I'm super excited
Whilst studying for my board exam (4-8 hours/day), I found these videos useful. I recorded a few & will be uploading them periodically.
should i still consider this program if i am premed?
Only if you plan on getting a MD/PhD. If only MD, that goal does not align w/ the program.
Congratulations, I just sent you a personal email. Please check your Gmail acct.
I love this!!! Your channel is brilliant and will no doubt provide a lot of assistance to many black women striving for a career in a STEM industry. You're a true queen, keep up the amazing work and I wish you every success ✊🏼🖤👑
So sweet! Thank you!
Great Video Advice. Grandma have to go shopping 🛍
Thank you so much!
Hello young Queen! This was soooo insightful! I enjoyed every part of this vid. As a parent of an incoming freshman at another HBCU, I can appreciate how you got right to the point! You are AWESOME! I wish you all the success!
Aww! Thank you very much!
You’re welcome! Keep pushing🙏🏾
Thanks for the video. What do you mean by "answer the prompts"?
Most personal statements have prompts such as "Describe a time when.." "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" "What draws you to this field?" They are similar to undergraduate application supplements.
If you’re in howard university east can you use the fitness center in west?
Yes, you can. They just ask for your ID.
VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO....MY DAIGHTER WILL BE A FRESHMAN ...AND UVE WATCHED HUNDREDS OF COLLEGE VIDEOS...AND I MUST SAY....YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST EVER....THANKS FOR SHARING...💕💕💯🙂

Thank you!
What happens if you want to apply for the PhD lab that you're currently getting your research experience in as an undergrad? Does the PI write to himself/herself...?
That’s amazing - congratulations! Yes, definitely have the PI submit a letter. It’s not necessarily to himself only, but there will be a committee that reads it - usually the department of [insert concentration here]. I def recommend more than one letter from someone else who can attest to other experiences/attributes as well.
Hey. Loved the Video. How important is the placement test and what purpose does it serve?
Thank you! It's pretty important. Most of the STEM courses at Howard require a lot of math, so it's to make sure you're competent in math courses up to and including Calculus I for the summer bridge program.
Did you have to take the Placement test ? Is there a minimum score needed to pass. Also how does Karsh Scholars differentiate between semi finalist and finalist?
Yes, I did. I believe you need an 80 to pass, but your score is compared to what everyone else scores. Definitely try your best to answer as many questions correctly. A semi finalist does not make it to the interview stage. A finalist makes it to TRACKS. A scholar gets an offer.
This is great!! I'm applying to a neuroscience research and i've never really applied to anything before so this is so helpful, thank you!
Aww! Thank you! I wish you all the best on it.
this video is helpful. <3
Thank you so much!
Applying for SULI internship program, wish me luck! Got my application and letters of recommendation all submitted 🤞
You’ve got this!
Wow, this was unbelievably helpful and aligned toward my career goals; thank you so much for making this series!
Aww! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video, it was super helpful! Will definitely look into better time management skills. Although it was sad to hear that people grow distanced as college goes on.
You’re welcome. Yeah, it’s sad, but it’ll be okay
I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing. Best of luck in all your future endeavors :)
Thank you!
I see the grace mackerel I already knew you were Caribbean lol
Jamaica to di world!
Do you pick your roommates, or do you have to fill out a roommate form?
After freshman year, you get to pick your roommate
Hi Thank u very much for info .,.. good job 👏🏻👏🏻
You're welcome!
Hi, I am currently a freshman but I am thinking about future housing options for the upcoming school years. I am a twin and even though we are not rooming together right now, we are panning on moving in together next year or junior year. Does Plaza Towers come with a bathroom for each person or is it shared? And would the room type for us be a "Two person suite (single)" like it says on Howard's website?
Hi! This is an option that's available to you. There's also College Hall South.
This was a great video!
Thank you!
You so cool! Really loved your channel and videos :)
Thank you very much!
Great info!!!!
Thank you!
Hi! Do the rooms come with anything other than the bed? Like nightstands or desks etc
Hi! You get a chest of drawers (4 drawers), a desk, a chair (a little wobbly) and an open-designed closet.
Hey! Great video… just a question about the bathroom… what size length shower curtain would you recommend for the shower
75-80 in". Keep the receipt in-case it doesn't work for you.
You are AWESOME!! As a Mom of a Sophomore student I am SO GRATEFUL for this video!!! The BEST OF LUCK this school year!!
Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words! Happy to help!
Hello what floor is floor P in Howard towers east
The bottom floor
@@kimberlysroadtophd ok so not the basement
love this! thanks
Thank you!
This is sooo helpful thank you!, but the first frame of the safe on fire caught me off guard loll
You're welcome! LOL - sorry for scaring you. There is a chance of a fire though!
If you have an A room is that a single or double?
Double
@@kadijah_kargbo thank you
It truly depends on the make of the room. Every unit in towers looks very different. Most rooms in towers are singles though. However,, you won't know if you get the smallest single or the largest single until you get there.
Update: I received an email indicating my suite. It says, "2-person suite SINGLE." I recommend looking out for language similar to this one.
The most helpful video!
Aww! Thanks!
Love it. Great
Thank you!
