Hi , thank you, , the difference between this and the last one is : the dough was more runny and definitely in need of feeding and it was Rye Flour not mixed with lighter flour. Making bread is a similar process each time, the make up of the dough as in " when has it last been fed, is it runny....., what flour am I using that changes. I am trying to figure out if it's possible to not measure everything , just keep similar weights, similar consistency in the dough and use whatever flour is in the cupboard to make good bread each time. I am basically experimenting with everything what goes into the bread , not the process of doing it. I have made bread the first time over 39 years ago but I always stayed away from sourdough because it sounded complicated to me. Now I am realising that it doesn't have to be complicated.

totally is, you can put all your emotions into the dough when handling it and you get the bit of excitement as well when hoping it turns out well and happy feelings when you see the bread rise and then a sense of achievement, accomplishment when looking at the finished bread . Even better if friends and family love your bread. I would go as far as saying " it connects people "

I will try to update this ' very basic ' recipe using a small tea -spoon of honey and some natural greek yoghurt. My mum does a similar recipe but she uses dry yeast and Quark with Dinkel flour and different quantities but also some honey. As soon as I get some time , I will go ahead and do an experimental bread using above ingredients.

How lovely . This duck here is wild. Sometimes he has 1 or 2 female ducks with him. I haven't seen the Ladies for some time. I guess they will be back in spring time.

@@scouseleemini1 wow ! We had a spider living free , it had a massive web during last winter in a little cupboard/room between living room and garden. By the time the winter was over we had a few more but kicked them all back out into the garden.

@@SFwildpetgarden you should see balfouri spiders, they live in communities and share their food

Hi , it's automated , programmed. There are I believe magnetic lines underneath the lawn. The robot follows those lines. When it's time it goes into it's charging house. Then the next day at it's programmed time it will come out and work the same route all over again.
