    Nice job! Can you think of a way to secure the display case to the base? I'm working on a project where the object inside might "walk away" as it'll be out in public. The powers-that-be want it to be accessible AND locked down. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    The mating edges of the panels should be routed, or saw cuts may show. Just set up a fence and pass each panel 1/32" or so.

    Nice progress! During the last year all I have done is make my shop a storage spot for crap. I need to make some dedicated storage so everything has a place. I live in Kentucky and that loft would definitely become a bourbon bar for family and friends. What an awesome space!

    I was going to sub, but because of the volume was all over th place. I hate having to turn the volume up to hear you and turn it back down so it doesn't sound like your screaming. Also, we don't need to see you domino both sides of each board...thank god there was only 4 boards. PRO TIP: Tighten up you editing skills if you want more subs!

      There are some smells that just take you back. Sawdust is one of those for me. It reminds me of cutting logs for wood to burn. It reminds me of being in the shop. Which is one of the best things ever. Thanks for watching!

    do you need to finish both sides when using walrus oil?

      The general rule of thumb is to always finish both sides. If I remember correctly, this allows the wood to expand and contract at the same rate.

    Those legs look exactly like a set that I have. They came off an 1848 Square Grand piano. I was told it would never make a good sounding piano, so the box of the piano turned into a couple of workbenches. Was just looking for ideas for the legs. Thanks for the excellent video!

      Glad to help Steve! As mentioned in the video, we found these in an antique store and loved them. I really didn't know what they went to. I was guessing maybe a pool table as well. The piano makes sense. Funny thing, when I trimmed the threads off of the legs, I smelled pipe tobacco, or thought I did. Hope you are able to turn them into a great project! Would love to check it out when you have it done. I'll have part 2 uploaded by Friday. The finished product is incredible. Thanks for dropping by.
