UET Electrical Engineering Department needs to put considerable effort in grooming their students in presentation skills. They could be good in their technical subjects, but miserable in presentation and oratory skills. In today’s world communication skills are vital for jobs and success on career ladder. Department must also give equal importance to the subjects of humanities for opening broader social outlook of students and making them visionary persons or individuals in their future life. UET graduates are very poor in writing skills, they need to improve it considerably. UET teaching faculty is average; department and government must pay attention to retain high quality professors through lucrative salaries and hire them from the open market. Once in 1960s, 70s and 80s this was the best engineering university and its graduate were hired internationally without even interviews. They were welcomed in Western universities for higher studies without much formalities. But unfortunately the situation today is not the same. There may be various valid reasons but with this pace UET is not competitive. I personally feel sorry for MacLagan Engineering College/ West Pakistan University of Engineering & Technology and now UET Lahore.

It's disappointing that the video does not showcase some of the most impactful and dedicated teachers who are truly making a difference in the department. Instead, some teachers who don't really seem to bring much to the table are shown. PATHETIC

A bit of feedback: It would have been useful to have included an organization chart (a chart showing the structure of the university, listing the various colleges and departments) as well as some other graphics, for example, increase in number of students. Incidentally, I am a relative of Mr. Sheikh Zahoorudin saheb (his late son, Professor Sheikh Saeed, was married to one of my aunts) so I was delighted and proud to see him mentioned and honored in this video.
