    It's not an independence it's a disaster & illegal seperatism ( self proclamed). It's not a foreign army in a foreign soil it"s there own army in there own soil. so it's not a provocative & What the seperatists in the Soviet Lithuania ( Lithuanian SSR) have done is illegal & so provocative.

      LOL. Republic of LIthuania was under an illegal occupation by the USSR that was not recognized by the majority of the international community. The Lithuanian SSR recognized itself as illegal and void formation due to it's existence breaking international law, the constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and the Soviet-Lithuanian Peace Treaty of 1920. Oh, and lastly. The Supreme Soviet of the USSR recognized the independence of the 3 Baltic Republics in September 1991.

      @@karliskokorevics6902 The Red Army isn't a foreign Army in the Soviet Lithuania ( Lithuanian SSR). The Soviet Lithuania ( Lithuanian SSR) recognised legally as a constituent republic of the Soviet Union ( USSR). 1990 -91 The Soviet Baltics Such as Estonian SSR ( Soviet Estonia) , Soviet Latvia ( Latvian SSR) & Soviet Lithuania ( Lithuanian SSR) declared it's seperatism under the name of so called "independence".

      @@Black_berry894 Yes, the Red Army wasn't foreign to Lithuanian SSR (1940-1990), but it was foreign to the Republic of Lithuania (1918-today) which was always the internationally recognized state. Lithuanian SSR was an illegitimate state within the Soviet Union. It had no relation or legal continuity with the internationally recognized Republic of Lithuania. In 1990, the Baltic SSRs declared themselves as illegitimate states created as part of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and declared themselves de ipso void. They did NOT declare independence for the Baltic SSRs as those states ceased to exist, instead they began the restoration of the constitution, sovereignity and independence of the legitimate 1918 Baltic Republics which predated both the USSR and Baltic SSRs. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Act_of_the_Re-Establishment_of_the_State_of_Lithuania

    Lithuania was once a great country. We had our currency, we had our freedom, life was nice. Then 2015 happened and everything since then was a total shit show. I know because I live there. Euro currency was the dagger in the back of every citizen here. me and my wife we earn 2000 euros together. that would have been 7500 litas (our currency before euro) It would be a huge salary. After all taxes we are left 1300. We live in a tiny 300 square foot home with my mom and her mom too. We don't have kids. A liter of gas is 1.5 euro as of lately. It was two months ago 1.15 euro. Our car is a 20 year old Honda, breaking down almost monthly. Our salaries are not rising but food, taxes, communications, gas prices are. One trip to mall and a small bag of essential groceries and maybe a pack of chips is 30 euros almost. 200 grams of butter is 2 euros. Its insanity. Couple that with our government that doesn't know jack shit about how to properly take care of its people, and the president who is inexistent and doesn't have a firm ground to stand on, and life is pretty miserable. Everything is extremely expensive, yet salaries do not grow. half of the nation is at poverty breach, but somehow manages. Its depressing really. Also the country is filled with pomophobic people who have no remorse. Everyone acts like they are about to murder your face if you say one word to them. People here are disgusting, boomers, millennials, gen z, everyone. I am of course not saying all of this with no purpose. What is truth is truth and can not be denied. Some people say to me when I open my mouth "hey you imbecile, stop complaining, life is good, eat grain and you will have money" or "you little jerk, just go and get a degree and go to politics and show them your ideas instead of complaining you total idiot". Noone cares about your well being. Noone cares about your suffering, because everyone here suffers. I will regret my words as soon as the government starts to care for its people, like it did once before. Our country was managing quite well when we had Grybauskaite as our president. She made our nation work, because she cared for its people. Of course many people would say I am talking shit right now, but what is TRUTH is TRUTH. Our country was living well when we had our currency. But it was brutally ripped from our hands and replaced with euro. It is ruining us, every one of us.

    • @mp1335
      @mp1335 2 года назад

      That's not how economics works. You wouldn't have gotten 7500 litas if litas remained the currency(by the way direct conversion from EUR to LTL would say it would've been 6900, not 7500). Not even close. It was only after the introduction of the euro that wages started a meteoric rise and there is always some link between the value of wages in a country with certain goods. Gas prices are not tied to usage of a currency. Look up prices of 200g of butter say even both outside the EU, not only eurozone. Let's say in Russia. The price for butter - almost identical, yet the people there earn A LOT less money. Salaries in Lithuania are growing and very rapidly. If for some reason your entire sector is so stagnant - time to look for a new job. Work is in VERY high demand now across many sectors.

    • @mp1335
      @mp1335 2 года назад

      You're complaining about prices shooting up, which is happening on an almost global scale, due to covid plus increased demand in certain natural resources and a housing bubble which will burst in a few more years. Newsflash, the LTL was pegged to the dollar since the mid 1990s. In 2002 it was pegged to the euro. Luckily moving on to the eurozone afterwards made Lithuania pass requirements of reducing it's inflation. Also, the value of the euro has been rising faster than that of the dollar. Put it shortly, you would be paying a LARGER PERCENTAGE of your current wage on things like butter, gasoline and whatever, than you are now if we were still using the litas(i don't even want to think about what Venezuelan nightmare we might be in if we had a 100% independent currency in a small country). By the way, if we were to convert current euro prices to litas, 200g stick of butter today would be 7.80LTL. Just like it is right now about 180 rubles in Russia. Dairy product prices have spiked around the world, due to current market/resource conditions.

    • @mp1335

      How is the euro ruining you? Or what's more important, what exactly is the government supposed to do to provide you with happiness and salvation?

    • @arturasguobis4338
      @arturasguobis4338 2 года назад

      Prices are going up everywhere in the world it has literally nothing to do with the euro. I'm sorry you are struggling but if you struggle in Lithuania you'd struggle anywhere else. I live in the UK and I don't even buy butter or drive a car because that's expensive :)
