You know that’s really sad because that civilian’s death was completely senseless. not only did he get sniped after giving away the enemy location which defeated the whole point of killing him. but now you have a whole tank squadron tearing your position apart because you escalated the situation.

Visually a fine film. As a Veteran, History and War Game Geek. It blows chunks. If you knew nothing about WWII tactics, this film would have you believe that the Germans would have a bunch of Americans pinned down for hours and NOT bother to move even one MG around to their flank. At that range those tanks would have been meat on the table for even only a moderately trained crew as they would have coordinated fire and taken out multiple tanks at once. The AT guns portrayed could easily take out a Sherman from nearly 2000 yds and fire more than a dozen rounds a minute. Don't get me started on how ridiculous the fight with the "Tiger" was nor the SS Battalion of infantry. It "COULD" have been GREAT! They settled for, meh.

Always bugged me that they could have taken any piss annd vinegar veteran infantry rifleman guys to operate the tanks gun as tank gunner but they chose to abuse a clerk into committing war crimes

People genuinely don't understand how many people from different groups did the Nazi's kill. It wasn't just Jewish people, but alot more. Alot of people that were killed didn't have records of their existence. Therefore they couldn't have been written down as murdered. Plus others who were unaccounted for. 17 Million People is the number we have written. But you could probably throw in a million or two and still be undershooting it.

Russians and Ukrainians were way more brutal than Germans. I heard stories that ukrainian soldiers would take polish babys on their hands like they were playing with them and then smash their heads against walls and impale them on fences sometimes without smashing them before. And of course there is also the infamous Wolyn massacre which lasted about a year and took lives of about 100k of polish lives. Russians would steal and plunder everything they came across (you can even see on that famous picture where the soldier is holding the USSR flag in fallen Berlin has 2 watches on his wrists) I even heard a story where couple of drunk russians would stuck telephone handle in womans va#ina just for fun. And im not saying that Germans were good but they were efficieny in what they were doing, they didnt play with their victims. Source : well im from Poland and i heard some of these stories personally or from the friends which they heard from their relatives.
