I was only two steps off the gravel. This area has both gravel and soil. It depends where im detecting as to what i am on. but i do like the gravels

Im using a go pro hero 5 or 6 . Im not sure. It seems to work well . Just sometimes the sound can be aproblem if the wind is up a little and it will mute all the sound. You do not know this untill you play it back Bad point .

Its turned up for the video . I do not run it that loud. And that is the sound made from the detector. Get a GPX 6000 they are worse

Its only that loud for the video so you can hear it I run it soft and i use earbuds

The video is not as good as being there. There was a change in the pitch , tone some i know and it sounded like gold so you give it a dig and see what it does. Im not special , just some tones i know. Being there is better.

Yes i did, but you always have to listen to very small changes. I use the threshold to keep my mind active and listening.

Some areas were still ok but most were over grown.

The detectors are both ok for treasure hunting . Not that good for gold detecting. Natural gold in the ground. The vanquish is one of the later models Later target finding electronics. It depends how much you want to spend first up. Have a look at how easy they are to set up and use. The easier the more fun you will have. Try youtube for some set ups and using these detectors. This my help with your choise. Its not much help as i have not used either of these detectors. I mainly do gold detecting. Hope this helps Regards Bill

Thank you Grant . I like going where everyone has been before and flogged the area ,they say there is no gold left. Well i find lots of small gold and love the challenge. I work harder for it and enjoy the finds.
