My wife and I went to Salvation Mountain this weekend in Slab City. Salvation Mountain is a visionary piece of folk art that was realized and constructed by Leonard Knight over 20 years and held together by a mixture of paint, plaster, trees, car parts, and bales of hay. For the public debut of my camera drone, I made a video of the wreckage of the SS Monte Carlo pleasure vessel which was grounded off the coast of Coronado Island in 1937; more of its hull was revealed by the powerful storms we have had recently here in Southern California.
