Playing music is a very serious love of mine. I enjoy the challenge of playing power bass lines and have worked dilligently to pay homage to the bassists whose songs I cover. I learn more about music and my instrument each time I pick up the guitar. Each video is but a snapshot in time of where I'm at musically. I hope that viewing them is as pleasurable to watch as it is for me to produce.

This is my rendition of Joe Perry's work on "Dream On." Using a 100W Marshall JCM2000 with slanted cab, an Ibanex RG770 and a Digitech GNX3 Effects Unit.

That variation of the ending riff at 4:15 gets me every time. Geezer rules!! Probably the best bass cover I’ve seen of this monster track 🤘
Thank you very kindly for the compliment. Some bassists play that song in different locations on the neck, but I've tried them all and this is the most comfortable for me.
I need to find an accurate bass tab for this song and other songs in of the heaven and hell album.

It's a 1985 BC Rich Warlock. Ultraviolet purple with a reverse headstock. Active pickups and phase switches.

Very cool. But on the ending riff, on the 4 e + a , he's playing A E G G#. Don't feel bad. I've played plenty of songs for years I thought I had nailed down pat only to find out I was doing something not exactly correct.
Yes, I have done that too. I get mad at myself for not catching it though. Being a perfectionist (prolly OCD really) has its drawbacks. Lolol

It's about time, One of the few musicians that I have seen playing Geezer Butler basslines with a pick. Awesome. I also play covers, but I play with a guitar, I have played a bunch of black sabbath on guitar. I add bass also, and I use a pick. The tone sounds better with a pick in my opinion, I have tried bass with fingers, the tone just isn't there when I try with fingers. I am not really a bass player though.

Geezer would be proud my friend, great job. Butler as a bass player (and lyricist for most Sabbath tunes) is amazing and does his job perfectly complimenting the Sabbath sound not just doubling or miming what Tony is doing on guitar.
