Yep we play box #s. We don’t play the passline w/ odds for a few reasons. With odds. If you’re not placing 5x the amount of your passline. You make more $$$ on the place bets. You also can press up your place bets with the wins of the place bets. You’re also not putting your money in the way of the shooters landing zone.

There are positives and negatives to playing come bets. Yes hedges against a 7. But also loses on 2-3-12. Hit a come bet # and it will travel to that #. But the player with place bets. Will collect while you are going to that #. Then you will have to place odds with money from your rack. The place bet that got paid can use the wins to press up his bet. Thanks for your comment 👍

You might feel that the 4/10 always hit before the 7. But I can assure you that it doesn’t always happen that way. I’m sure you’ve played where the 4/10 doesn’t come before the 7. There’s a lot of times the dice roll 3-5 #s with no 4/10 and then a 7. The casinos don’t give you 2x odds on a 4/10 cause they come that often. I’m happy for you if that’s what happens when you’re playing. And yes you should run for the door. FYI When we record we have an obligation to play for a certain amount of time to get a private table. So there is no Hot and Run for us. Thanks for your commitment 👍

When someone sets the dice. They are just trying to not roll a 7. Not hit a specific #. Of course that’s not always going to happen. We all know there’s more ways to make a 7 then any other #. And you’re only going to control the dice from your hand till it hits the table. But trying to be consistent with practice has proven that you have a better chance of not throwing a 7. Well I used to play high limit BJ until I discovered craps. Craps is a lot more challenging and it does test your skills. But it’s a great game that challenges your mind. Learning more about discipline and money management. I love the challenge 👍

Yep that seems to happen a lot. I used to call my bets off also when the dice flew off the table. Until a box man friend of mine asked me why did I turn off my bet. When the dice bounced off the table. And I explained to him why. His answer to me was. Mel if you sit here as many hours as I do. You will notice that dice off the table is a 50/50 chance the dice will be 7. What you need to do is turn your bets off. When someone buys in with cash when the ice are live with puck on. And the other is when the stick guy changes. And that’s how I play now…and you know what. He is right 80-90% of the time.

Casinos don’t give you anything that’s in your favor. When they offer you 10-20x odds is because the 7 is in the casinos favor. All strategies can win or lose. But if you play Saying Alive with the right strategy. You have a better chance of winning. Thanks for sharing your comment 👍

How’s It JK The players are playing the pass line…because it’s a requirement if you want to play the proposition bet. Then after the point is established they play the box #s. This is because with the place bets you have a few options that you don’t have with the pass line with odds. Place Bets Options: * you can press the point w/o placing more money on the pass line ( which pays even money) to press up the odds * you can take down place bets anytime (not the pass line) * if your not betting 5x your pass line as odds. You make just as much or more placing the bet ( most places are 2x odds or 3-4-5x odds) *placing bets keeps the throwing area clear for the shooters landing zone Hope this answers your question
