Hoka Carbon x3 Customized By Vibram Soles. Now A Trail Shoe!!!
This was an onl road shoe I have previously used. I sent it to vibram. www.vibram.co.uk/RepairsCustomisation
They were great and understood what I wanted and put this light weight trail sole that is 30% lighter that there normal one.
As you see in the video I genuinely was very impressed with the performance. I think for next season i will buy a new shoe so the foam is fresh and have them turned into a trail shoe.
I have a few events later in the year and on coming up in the New forest that I think I will use the shoe on and see how it holds up at 50k.

WW1 Yorkshire trench & dugout Ypres, Belgium

My Son Kai wanted to present his finding to you. The 70-metre-long Yorkshire Trench is a unique historical and archaeological site. It was built by the French in 1915 but maintained by the 49th West Riding Infantry Division, mainly soldiers from Sheffield and West Yorkshire, which is why it adopted the name Yorkshire Trench. The 49th occupied the trench until the end of the First World War in 1...

Out Rageous parking costs in Bournemouth & Poole. Is this acceptable!!!
Hi Adam, I’m due to run this in October. Any tips? Not sure how far to run in my longest run in training… thanks pal
@@eddymercer6025 hi dude. My recommendation is try to run in 7 days well over 50k. Look at what you're max heart rate is and what your minimum heart rate is. Try to find a balance during training but make sure you get the distance in your legs. It's a very flat course. Pack light learn to eat and run. You will most likely burn 3k to 4k in calories so that's also a massive key factor. Fuel for distance. For that event I really only did 50k a week training. Few 10k runs and half marathons. But if you can id recommend more if you can find the time. Long and slow was my training
@@outinthesunthank you so much for taking the time to write this response. Legend. Hope you’re good!? You doing it this year?
@@eddymercer6025 I've a few 50k events coming up. I think I might do the mavericks 54k event over that time. That's fine glad to try to share my experience. Hope it helps Also look at how many aid stops they. October isn't overly warm so you won't go through too much water. Hope you enjoy the run. Its a great introduction to longer distance. If you get a chance have a look at the runs I did in May. I went for distance and elevation.
Awesome! Btw, is that a camelback? If it's not, what's your take on running with bottles in the front? Isn't it tedious?
@@mippieadventures Hi mate. No that's a Solomon vest. It's a Solomon s/lab 10. Very very light and breathable. More for short distance. But anything over half marathon if you are carrying kit, water In the front helps Ballance the pack out. I forgot my front water bottles on my Jurassic coast run and had the pack unbalanced for the 100k run, was really annoying, as the pack kept pulling back. Everything is different but depends on what suits you.
Great review 🙌🏻

I watched for the scenery but for me the music drowned out you voice. I still gave a like 🙂
Thanks Kevin for your input. Yes I noticed that but when editing depends on what platform I'm playing it off the sound is different. Definitely something I have taken note off. Many thanks for giving me the thumbs up and input.
Not trying to overly sell it to you but the week before I did an event over the mountains in Snowdonia.
Great video. Brought back memories of that day. Saw you along the route and at the end in the food tent. 😄hope the feet are back to normal after 5km and Chesil beach! 🥵
Hi dude. Cheers for the comment. Yeh I think I remember you, I was extremely tired at that point. Unfortunately my feet are totally wrecked from the Jurassic coast and trying UTMB Snowdonia the week before and my shoes falling on me coming down the mountain. I have very large parts of baby skin on both feet I'm still trying to harden up before I take on new events. I also did that event on brand new shoes because the hoka's the week before tore. Chesel beach was not fun at all.
@outinthesun I remember you talking about your feet being ruined after Wales. Hell of an achievement. 100% agree chesil beach sucked big time!! Keep up the cool videos. 😎
Cheers mate. Hopefully I can get a few more 50ks later in the year. See how my year goes.
No way dude, you're the king 😎! How did it go? I ran that race I talked about, it went well even tho I didn't practice, I ain't doing that again, gonna run next year as well, but this time I'm gonna train for it!
It was really hard I had a go at another big event the week before on a mountain course. You would probably like that. My feet were and are still sore and skin has been peeling off. I remember you said that's good and well done. What time did you get on what distance? I've enjoyed the coast line on those adventures.
Epic, considering how trashed your trainers and feet were after UTS. Well done.
Definitely wasn't a wise idea booking these events back to back. Feet were a tad sore on the start line and I was in a brand new pair of 2 day old Solomon speed cross 6.
Great video and a great experience! Lovely to meet you and hopefully see you on the next one 👏🏃♂️congratulations on the 100k 🎉
Cheers dude. Keep InTouch
Keep it up the content man 🤙
Cheers
Editing 🔥
Cheers mate
Another very cool vid!!! Well done for completing the Jurassic Coast challenge 100km!!! One week after after UTMB!!!
Many thanks
Well done great video.
Cheers
Great video man, keep it up!
Cool. Many thanks
Good skills
One love
well done
Cheers dude
Great job on this one, we just need to shape your feet into mountain🐐 hooves!!!
Be handy
When you said you'd had blisters, you didn't say your trainers had given up the ghost! No wonder you had blisters with the state of them - Do you need to try another brand, those Hokas looked super-trashed? I'll be having a spare pair in my support crew box for my 54-miler in 2 weeks and I might have to stash some gaffer tape and zip-ties in my race vest, just in case that happens to me.
So I had a spare pair in my drop bag. But as you could see I just fell short. Also a key tip is to carry talc socks and regularly change them. I also recently bought a pair of Solomon speed cross 6 and completed Jurassic coast challenge 100k in them the week after on trashed feet. Still recovering from both races.
Incredible vid mate, my quads were aching watching that
Cheers dude. Some massive incline and declines on that route.
Didn’t realise your trainers were quite as bad as that! Great video. 👍🏼
Wasn't the Finnish I was expecting. Especially when I quit like that brand. Just goes to show how rugged the terrain is and how careful you need to be in what to wear.
The problem I have now is the new skin is so new and tender.
Great video matey and wow I am not surprised your shoe gave in! The 100k course is so rugged! Recommended watch for anyone considering the 100k in the years to come!
Cheers dude. Definitely a rethink on what to wear that could handle the course.
Cracking video. Memories come flooding back. Will be back next year for another go.
I'm pretty sure I will be too
Great video and thanks for sharing as I’m doing the 100km this year so great insight!
Thanks James. Might see you on the start line Saturday I'm doing it again. 100k to redeem myself. Good luck
one of my family members came first yesterday and were so proud!
@@THE-jaleg that's really impressive
Awesome video mate 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks Matt
good luck this weekend!
Be an interesting time 😜
Looks really nice, I'm also about to do a run soon, kinda regret it since I haven't practiced at all 😅
First event of the year. I've a bigger one this weekend while I'll put up later in the month. Either way it's always hard and especially if you haven't trained. Good luck with that. What distance are you going for?
@@outinthesun Awesome, you've got a busy schedule. It's only 5k (3.1mils) but it's hilly terrain, up and down, up and down.
Nice to also get out in nature. Hope you enjoy it and don't feel you struggle too much.
This is a good edit. Good work 👍

I'm coming to switzerland to make a video about it's bunker I have some mountains bunkers Moseum bunkers Houses like a bunkers And a lot more... I want to explore a bunker in a normal house luke in the video Any advice?🙏
Hi dude. Switzerland has hundreds of thousands of bunkers. From what I've read from making that video it was law to build a new property and have a bunker part of the construction. I'm not overly sure about the old style house that you will see but they have had them built but it's not obvious. The entire country is littered with bunkers but it's a case of trying to contact or view ones that are open to the public. But maybe look on who to contact before visiting. I was lucky to have family in Switzerland. But they didn't have much further information than what I managed to present on. But domestic they have loads. Information is available on the government websites if you look. I wish you all the best. Let me know what you find. Adam
OMG! That’s hilarious
Thanks Paul.

Very nice with all the angels!
Many thanks. How did you get on reading up on drones.
I think I've found one that I like, like mid-price but still good :D@@outinthesun
@@mippieadventures it's an expensive buy. Just all depends on what you use them for. Either way they are extremely fun. I'd like to get a DJI fpv later in the year.
@@outinthesun Wow that one seems so cool! Like playing a real-life flying game 😁
Such a waste of human lives 😪! By the way, what kinda drone you use, what's the resolution? Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks. yeh its shocking to see and this is one of many. Ive been using the DJI mini 3 pro. its traking and size are amazing. the resolution off the drone is 4k. very high for a 250g weight drone.
@@outinthesun Tanks, I think I'm gonna check it out!
If you want to know anything more just ask there is a few hidden items and a cost that's worth getting. So just have a really good read up.
