Omg. I spent so much time sewing thick fabric tabs and making my bras look ugly.. i cannot believe i didn't think of hot glue to coat that sharp edge, and gluing it shut, fantastic. I searched because i have 3 bras to fix and was hoping to find a quicker method. Thank you so much!!!
Everyone of my millions of bras ends with the underwire popping out. I'm going to try this now. Thanks for posting.

Glue won't hold long, maybe 1 or 2 days, best to sew the end shut thoroughly

I thought to do this years ago and it ruined clothes. I wash and dry my bras, the dryer heat melted the glue and damaged other clothes. Use this method at your own risk.
It’s hot glue. Get it hot it melts.

This is One of the best Metods i ve seen So far FOR the bras.
I think you're a lifesaver lol. Mine break like every 2-3 months. I stopped buying expensive ones because it's just ridiculous. I'm really going to try this
Do you put your bras in the dryer? That might be why.. Mine only break after about 2-4 years

Wouldn't the silicone glue superheat if you put the bra in the dryer? That wouldn't be safe. Probably fire risk.

That's a very pretty bra... what is the brand and style # ? How do we stop an underwire from moving around in the first place. My go-to bra has an underwire that moves... hasn't popped through the material yet thankfully.... but are there any tips on how to stop the underwire from moving in the first place... ? Gen ♥️
I wouldn’t recommend pushing the wire in as deep as possible cuz it might come out the other end.

For us fuller busted gals I would use 1/4 or 3/8 wide ribbon hand sewn over the hole.

Thank you! I have a black bathing suit top and I’m concerned about the crusty glue look. Im so tired of spending $70 on a bathing suit top just for it to be used maybe 10 times grrrr

Try super glue, thats what works for me. I found my way here looking for a easier way than what i do now. After the super glue sets cover it with hot glue because the super glue can be scratchy. And you probably already know not to put your bra in the dryer but just in case dont put your bra in the dryer.

I use super glue then cover the super glue with a dap of hot glue. The super glue stays scratcy feeling against the skin. or i will cover the super glue by sewing over it, the thread will cover the super glue. I normally do it to all my bras before i even wear them just to prevent the wire from popping out.

I can't believe how many bras I had to throw away rather than just having the common sense to fix them.

Lol, me too! I even stopped washing them in the machine, even in those delicate bags, on the delicate cycle. I now wash them all by hand. I've always let them air dry, but this would still happen occasionally so I had to come and see if anyone found a solution to this!

@@marythefairy1159 is the silicone soft and rubbery? My hot glue gun is for a hard type of glue which sets with sharp points. I think it must be different to yours.

Yes Mary, it'll work. Just be sure to press the seam when it's still warm so it can seal REALLY WELL! Let it cool completely before wearing it.
It does work, unfortunately it doesn't last forever and after half a year I had to do it again
I wear a ddd as well, i use super glue then cover the super glue with hot glue because the super glue is super scratchy. And dont put your bra in the dryer. Yes i know many of us already know this but there are some that dont.
